Forest is bare, cut everywhere
There's no one around, just the faces and clouds
And a heart that's breaking
You're not exactly where you're supposed to be
But tomorrow don't allow for guarantee
Today is the greatest day
Today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
Chasing the crowd, all twisted around
It's not what you lost, it's what you've found
Eyes of a child, it's getting harder to smile
You're an angel on these streets
You tell yourself you're not quite what you seem
But, one more chance and you will be redeemed
Oh, today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
Today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
I don't know what you mean
And I don't know what you need
You tell yourself you're not quite what you seem
But, one more chance and you will be redeemed
Today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
Today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
Today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
Today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
Today, today, today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
The lyrics of Chantal Kreviazuk's song "Today" speak about living in the present moment despite feeling lost, broken-hearted, and out of place. The first verse describes an open space where the forest is cut down, and the singer is all alone with their thoughts and emotions. The chorus repeats the line "today is the greatest day" as a reminder that even in painful moments, every day is a gift that should be appreciated.
The second verse talks about how chasing the crowd can make us lose sight of what truly matters. It's not about what we have lost along the way but about what we have found, just like the singer, an angel on these streets. The lyrics encourage us to embrace our inner child and keep smiling despite the hardships we might experience. The song ends with a repetition of the chorus, emphasizing the idea that every day holds the potential for greatness.
Overall, the song is a positive anthem about living in the present moment and finding happiness in everyday life, even during tough times.

No sé a qué te refieres.
