Givings (February 7th 1946 ~ April 15th 2012) was an American drummer and singer, known for being the leader of the band The Rare Gems. He started his career as a session drummer for Motown in Los Angeles in the 1960s. By 1969, Givings had formed the band Rare Gems Odyssey, which would later change its name.

Giving passed away in April 2012 of a massive heart attack.
