Che Fu Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
As your truthful to the ones who love you
It doesn't matter what you've done before in your time
I won't say nothing even if they pull on me
A random take down good friends stay around
Its a simple message it might come back to you
Late one Friday evening
Babylon come stop I
He said I look high
If they get me first
Ill signal when the coast is clear
Village behaviour
Must protect our neighbour from
A random take down good friends stay around
Its a simple message it might come back to you
If you reversed it back would you do it differently?
Media or hearsay at some time they'll always judge you
It does not matter what went down way back then
No need to talk of that family and friends
Say nothing they keep it to themselves
Say nothing they're loyal, loyal
They say nothing
They keep it to themselves
They say nothing
They're loyal, loyal when there's a
Random take down good friends stay around
Its a simple message it might come back to you
In Che Fu's song Random, the lyrics express the idea of loyalty and the importance of surrounding yourself with true friends who will stick by you. The first lines state that it doesn't matter what others may say or think about you behind your back as long as you remain truthful to those who genuinely care about you. The emphasis is on staying true to oneself and the people who matter, and ignoring the opinions of others who have no genuine love or affection towards an individual.
The song then moves on to describe a situation where the singer is cruising around town when they encounter a police car who thinks they look high. The singer is careful not to get caught by the police but makes sure to let their friends know when the coast is clear. The lyrics suggest that in a village-type community, it is crucial to protect each other and be loyal to your neighbours. The idea of true friendship reappears, stressing the importance of having good friends around in times of crisis, which is symbolised by the term 'random take down.' The song concludes with the repetition of the phrase 'say nothing they’re loyal’ which highlights the importance of trust and loyalty in any friendship.
