Cherish Lyrics

Oh my gosh it, it is too late
He mixed the ingredient chemical x
Want to know what will be the effect
Is it dangerous, or fabulous?
Here they come they?re coming through
It?s Blossom and Bubbles and Buttercup too
Beware of the Powerpuff Girls
Chorus 2x
They?re coming through and fighting
And everyone they?re shocking
You know no one can stop them
All because of the chemical x
Whoa now, now that you see
You should beware of the power of three
They come to fight as fast as they can
They?re dangerous, yet fabulous
Professor Utonium made them its true
They are the colors of pink, green and blue
They?ll catch you in a blink of an eye
And do it all before bed time
Repeat Chorus 1x
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Rap
Cherish and Powerpuff, two of a kind
Both want to save the world before bedtime
From Townsville, Memphis, New York, to LA
The Powerpuff girls are just here to stay
Repeat Chorus 3x
The lyrics of Cherish's song "Chemical X" speak of a dangerous and powerful substance. The singer tells the story of someone who has mixed the "ingredient chemical x" and wonders about its effect. The Powerpuff Girls then come into the picture as they are a product of that same substance mixed by Professor Utonium. The lyrics are a fun reference to the cartoon series of the same name where the Powerpuff Girls fight against villains to save the world. The repetitive chorus emphasizes the girls' unstoppable nature with the chemical x as the source of their power.
The lyrics convey a message about how power can be both dangerous and fabulous. The Powerpuff Girls are portrayed as strong, invincible fighters that can take over the world, but their existence is also a result of an accidentally mixed chemical. The song is reflective of society's view on power and how it can invoke both fear and awe. The rap verse by the group Cherish highlights their collaboration with the Powerpuff Girls, with both entities wanting to save the world "before bedtime."
