Nile Rogers still carries the name of Chic in live performances, however, he has new singers who are pretty-much young enough to be granddaughters of these ladies.

Nile Rodgers is an outrageously underrated guitar player. I saw him open for Cher a few years ago and I was just floored by how truly awesome he is. He has such a distinct sound. The bass in this song is freaking great too. Chic had such fun songs.

Holy s*** what a supergroup! The nucleus of Nile Rodgers on guitar and Bernard Edwards (RIP) on bass also composing, arranging, and producing. Then Tony Thompson (RIP) on drums and Alfa Anderson and Luci Martin on vocals, plus Fonzi Thornton and early Luther Vandross (! RIP). Then the electrons orbiting the core: Rob Sabino on those sparkling piano licks, Sammy Figueroa here on unique tubular bells and other percussion, then the Chic Strings lightening up yet driving the groove, and the other keyboard and brass players. 10-15 great musicians on each song so magisterially laying down these titanic grooves.
