One More Day
Chicago Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Listen to the wind
Hear the voice inside you
Something in the air
Something you've been blind to
People everywhere are dying to be free
The time has come to live our lives in harmony

Give the children of the world one more day
Give the children of the world, give them one more day

Where do we begin?
When will freedom find us?
Bring the new day in
Break the chains that bind us
People reaching out for just a little more
Love is all we need to open up the door

Give the children of the world one more day
Give the children of the world, give them one more day

Now the future's up to you
Take a stand and see things through
For the children of tomorrow
Give the world one more day (one more day)
Time enough to find a way
To start over, a way to go on
A way to go on

One more day, one more day
Give the children of the world
One more day, one more day, one more day
Give the children of tomorrow
One more day, one more day, one more day (one more day, one more day)

Give the children of the world
Give them one more, one more, just one more, yeah
Give the children of the world
Give them one more, oh, one more, oh, just one more day (one more day, one more day)
Give the children of the world
Give them one more day (one more day, one more day)
Give the children of the world
(One more, one more day, one more day)

Give the children of the world
(One more, one more day)

on Oh, Thank You Great Spirit

Great song and a fitting tribute to Jimi from his friend and fan Terry Kath, I've all ways believed the song was kind of a prospective of the dead, coming to the realization that they have crossed over and or no longer burden by all of life's problem's and pain's and are now free from all, and now overcome with gratitude to the Great Spirit , Greater of the universe and of life , GOD, that he is now free to fly the heavenly sky's , but ether way death or just a good night's sleep, great song.
