Excellent. But the original discovery of "myopia" was Johann Kepler in 1610. He did publish on the subject. He made is own glasses and use them in his astronomy work. He was also the first to develop a "ray-tracing" paradigm for the natural eye. This then became the paradigm that Helmholtz-Donders used to describe the eye as having ametropia, hyperopia and myopia.
