Trusting that one will safely reach their final home in heaven

Grateful for God's love and redemption, even when one was lost

Acknowledging that at some point, one was separated from God

He to rescue me from danger
Being grateful for God's rescue from danger and troubles

Interposed His precious blood
Referring to the belief that Jesus' death on the cross saved us from sin

How Your kindness yet pursues me
Grateful for the endlessly pursuing love of God

How Your mercy never fails me
Grateful for God's forgiveness which never ends

Till the day that death shall loose me
Committing to singing praises for God as long as one lives

Reiterating the commitment to praise God through song

Oh to grace how great a debtor
Giving thanks for the unearned and undeserved gift of grace

Daily I'm constrained to be
Being mindful that each day should be lived in gratitude for this gift

Let Thy goodness like a fetter
Asking God to bind our hearts to His goodness and love

Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Asking God to keep one's heart from straying away from Him

Here's my heart Lord, take and seal it
Giving God complete control over one's heart and life
