To have you sayin' I can't be sixteen
Once I get in you won't let go
(And I) I'll have the girls wishin' they were you
(And I) I know you heard 'bout me
But guess what's goin' down if we leave?

In Chris Brown's song "Run It!," he starts off promoting himself, saying he does big boy things and makes big boy noises, he knows what girls want and that they want to stay up and party all night. He then addresses a girl he is interested in and asks her if her man is on the floor. If he isn't, she should let him know because he wants to see if she can run it. Brown then implies that he is willing to show her things that would have her doubting his age. He ends the song by discussing how they can have fun all night long with their friends and switch until the morning comes.
The song has a repetitive and catchy chorus that compliments the hook βRun itβ effectively. Brownβs charming, playful, and confident attitude throughout the song is highlighted in his fast-paced verses, which are full of innuendo and various artistic quirks like "Wait till you see my" and "Let me fall back, you ain't ready for all that." The bridge starts with a guitar riff and continues into a drum and bass combination that instantly elevates the mood. Brown has the heart of a performer and it shows in his dynamic vocal range throughout the song.
