[Verse 1: Rick Ross]
Every dollar that I count can't grow in my account,
my account can't count up all my money in an hour,
cause it's comin too fast and I'm scared it won't last,
look that white girl in her face told her this was her last dance,

it's a benz cause your broke til you got one,
it ain't nothing do 100 in the maybach,
throwin money out the roof mother mother brake pads.
[Chorus:]

The lyrics to Chris Brown's song, ‘Speedin’’ featuring Rick Ross is an ode to the fast life. It talks about the overwhelming lifestyle of money, cars, and living in the fast lane. Rick Ross begins the song by stating that every dollar he counts cannot grow in his account cause it comes too fast. He is scared it won't last, but that does not stop him from enjoying the fast life. The lyrics depict Ross as a boss and one who lives in luxury. Ross is not an artist that has been nominated for awards, but he is a self-made millionaire through his business ventures.
The chorus emphasizes the theme of living in the fast lane, that it is all they know, and it is a lifestyle they cannot stop. Chris Brown sings the chorus, and it is the anthem that the song is built on. The chorus is catchy and has a hook that fans can sing along to.
The third verse talks about the rags-to-riches story that we often see in the entertainment industry. Ross talks about how he used to watch the Grammys, dreaming that one day he would be on that stage receiving an award. His talent eventually got recognized, and now he is living the life he always imagined. The song ends with the message that they are flying high, and nobody can bring them down.
Overall, ‘Speedin’’ is a song that celebrates wealth, abundance and the freedom that comes with having money. Chris Brown and Rick Ross rap about their journey from humble beginnings to becoming successful artists. They also address the negative aspects of being wealthy, such as paranoia and the fear that their success will not last forever. ‘Speedin’’ is a song that is perfect for anyone looking to escape reality for a moment and live vicariously through the lyrics.
