Chris Love began his solo career in 2005. A year later, he released his solo debut "On My Way Out," which received praise as the new direction for Memphis music. Love has opened for acts such as Switchfoot, Maroon 5, Everclear, Foghat, and Marc Broussard. He was named by Forbes Magazine as Memphis's Most Eligible Bachelor. He has headlined two successful tours of the United States in support of his release. Love appeared at the 2008 ASCAP awards in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2009, Love began working on his new CD, "The Dirty South" with Premo D'anger of Free Sol and Tennman Records. He currently added Saving Abel's Daniel Dwight to his backup band, led by jazz trombonist Pete Colin.
Chris began playing guitar at age 11. By thirteen, he was already playing on world famous Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1999, Love was a regional winner in the Jimi Hendirx Foundation's Guitar Competition, earning the artist a trip to play with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell at B.B. King's Los Angeles. Shortly thereafter, he founded the rock band Love and War, who had success with their single "Hoping for You." Love and War disbanded in 2004.
