“Chris embodies all the great qualities that I love about great singers. His talents seem limitless and I hope we will continue to work together in the future.” –David Foster
“There is nothing that Chris Mann cannot sing. From the smoothest notes to the hardest runs, he can do it effortlessly. One of my favorite male singers today. A producer’s dream to work with.”
-Walter Afanasieff
With a powerful voice and dynamic live performance, Chris Mann has emerged on the scene as an artist to watch. His blend of classically-trained tenor and contemporary pop vocals is a sound that is rare in the world of music today.
Growing up in Wichita, Kansas, Chris began playing the piano and performing at a young age. He realized music was more than a hobby when he discovered that singing was in his blood; an unearthed stack of old records he believed to be Frank Sinatra recordings were actually sung by his grandfather. This sparked a fire within him—while his friends were listening to rock and country, Chris immersed himself in Pavarotti, Robbie Williams and vintage Sinatra, forever influencing his style and persona.
Chris has worked with A-list producers including Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds (Whitney Houston), Walter Afanasieff (Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion), Greg Wells (Adele, Jamie Cullum), Mark Hammond (Josh Groban), and Keith Thomas (Charlotte Church, Vanessa Williams) with whom he recorded a duet with Heather Headley. He has toured with Grammy Award-winner India.Arie and Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel, has performed at high profile events including the Sundance Film Festival, the Academy Awards Young Hollywood Party, the American Film Institute Awards, the Bel-Air Film Festival, and is a six-time headliner at national “Mom Blog” conventions. Recently, Chris was featured in “David Foster and Friends” at special events in Los Angeles and Washington D.C, performing “The Prayer” with Katharine McPhee and David Foster.
Chris’ voice has been featured in numerous films and television shows including Avatar, Glee 3D, Letters to Juliet, Tangled, Sex and the City 2, The Smurfs, 2012 and The Philanthropist, among others. At its inception, Fox’s hit show Glee called to feature Chris’ vocals on both the series and the accompanying soundtracks, which have sold millions of copies.
Chris’ original music has been licensed in film and television programs including Drop Dead Diva, When in Romance, and Honey 2; Office Max also licensed his music for their national “back to school” television campaign. Additionally, Lifetime selected Chris’ song “Beautiful Life” as the television promo soundtrack for Coming Home, a reality series documenting soldiers as they return home from war.
His talents run deeper than just music: Chris has acted on-screen as a member of the Dalton Academy Warblers on Fox’s Glee, has been featured on Howie Mandel’s Mobbed and has starred in numerous musicals on-stage. His credits as a writer and producer are growing as well. He is one half of the production team, Church+State, who recently produced the debut single “Sweet Vendetta” for Melody Thornton of The Pussycat Dolls.
Chris Mann has built his global fan base by embracing social media platforms such as Twitter, and his humorous yet thoughtful weekly ‘MANNblogMonday’ at ChrisMannMusic.com is a fan favorite; these efforts, and more, build the Chris Mann brand and allow unrivaled accessibility to his fans.
Chris has currently auditioned for season 2 of The Voice on NBC premiering February 5, 2012 after the Super Bowl.

Just remember that you talking to me yo
You need to watch the way you talking to me you know
I mean after all the things that we been through
I mean after all the things we got into
And yo I know of some things that you ain't told me
And yo I did some things but that's the old me
And now you wanna get me back
So you walk around like you don't know me
You got a new friend
Well I got homies
But in the end it's still so lonely
In the night I hear 'em talk,
The coldest story ever told,
Somewhere far along this road
He lost his soul
To a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless... oh
How could you be so heartless?
How could you be so Dr. Evil
You're bringing out a side of me that I don't know
I decided we weren't gonna speak so why we up 3 a.m. on the phone
Why does she be so mad at me for, homie I don't know she's hot and cold
I won't stop, won't mess my groove up cause I already know how this thing goes,
You run and tell your friends that you're leavin' me
They say that they don't see what you see in me
You wait a couple months then you gon' see,
You'll never find nobody better than me
In the night I hear 'em talk,
The coldest story ever told,
Somewhere far along this road
He lost his soul
To a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless... oh
How could you be so heartless?
Talkin', talkin', talkin', talk,
Baby lets just knock it off
They don't know what we been through
They don't know 'bout me and you
So I got something new to see
And you just gon' keep hatin' me
And we just gon' be enemies
I know you can't believe
I could just leave it wrong
and you can't make it right
Im gon' take off tonight
Into the night...
In the night I hear 'em talk,
The coldest story ever told,
Somewhere far along this road
He lost his soul
To a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless... oh
How could you be so heartless
"Heartless" is a song by Chris Mann that was released in 2012. The song speaks about a relationship that has gone sour, and the feelings of hurt and betrayal that come with it. In the opening lines of the song, Mann talks about how cold the relationship has become, and how the people in it are no longer communicating in a way that is productive or positive. He then goes on to sing about the things the couple has been through and the secrets that have been kept from each other. Mann sings about how he has changed and no longer wants to be involved in the relationship. He urges his partner to move on, but also warns them that they will never find anyone better than him.
The lyrics of "Heartless" give a deep insight into the emotions that are tied to a dying relationship. Mann knows that he has gotten himself into some trouble in the past, but he wants his partner to accept him for who he is. The way the lyrics are written shows the pain and hurt that he is feeling as a result of the relationship crumbling. It is also interesting to note that the song features an interpolation of Kanye West's "Heartless," a song with similar themes.

This is so beautiful. He always sings these kinds of songs with such genuine emotion.

First of all, I didn't think I'd hear a better version of Heartless than Dia Frampton's but this is significantly better. Also, as a whole, singers with your kind of power (that you've shown on The Voice) tend to always showcase it. Your sense of control is fantastic. I hope you go far in the competition as you are what that show claims to showcase- a real singer. Good luck, sir. Not that you'll need it!

Chris, I have always been a HUGE fan of yours since Christiana first turned her chair for you on The Voice. I have followed you ever since that moment. I was thrilled when my son gave me your Roads album for Christmas. Then when I heard you were coming to St. Louis to star in Phantom I moved Heaven and Earth to see it. I was not disappointed; you are a multi-talented artist that has the rare ability to cross many genres and shine beautifully. I am so happy for your success and I know you have only just begun to take us down your many roads. Many thanks to Christina Aguilera (THE Voice) for taking the chance to step out of the standard genres to bring you to us! I have a feeling you will be around for a long time.
