Heartache
Chris Murray Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

One, two, three, four...

Heartache, why won't you leave me?
Heartache, leave me alone.
Everywhere I go you'll be there I know,
Holding a torch that never burns low.

Heartache, why won't you leave me?
Heartbreak has broken me.
It's been far too long, time for moving on, I think.
Heartache, ache...

Heart, heart, A C H E.

Yes, it's this heartache, that's hangin' on me.
Like my oldest friend, with me till the end,
Sticking with me for all my mistakes.
Heartache, ache...

Heart, heart, A C H E.
Heart, heart, A C H E.

Just one thing we'll say, I am still your slave I see.
Heartache, ache...

Heartache, can't take any longer,
Heartache, so take what you need.
See, the time has come, say the best is done,
Tell me you'll miss me when I'm gone.
Heartache, ache...

Ache... Ache.

It's funny how ska songs are usually really upbeat but at the same time, we can feel sad too.

This remind me the beauty of  "The Paragons" and Treasure Isle Records.
I stopped listen (heavily) to Ska 20 years ago but You are something else sir.
Its not about Ska, its about nice compositon, simple execution (no frills) and loads of Emotions.
You are the Eric Satie of Ska, lol.
