wheels
Chuck & Bill Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Give it back now, give it back now
Nothing ever comes for free
Give it back now, give it back now
Everything belongs to me
Give it back now, give it back now
Let the wheels roll
Give it back now, give it back now
Give it back now, give it back now
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
We got 20 years of broken bones taking it's toll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
We got 20 years of broken bones taking it's toll
Let the wheels roll
Give it back now, give it back now
Try to catch me if you can
Give it back now, give it back now
I'll fight you like no other man
Give it back now, give it back now
Let the wheels roll
Give it back now, give it back now
Give it back now, give it back now
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
We got 20 years of broken bones taking it's toll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
We got 20 years of broken bones taking it's toll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll
Let the wheels roll

38 years ago, I was on the radio station at the Community College I was going tp. Th station manager worked at the local Boston Disco station. We had to play Disco as 95% of the format. I played this. Got my ass fired. I'd do it again.

I was there at the Stumble Inn from 1979-1983 and my girl made me take country swing lessons(before Urban Cowboy came out)! Good thing there was free beer during the lessons since I had two left feet back then and Chuck did shot for shot of JD during band breaks if you made a free throw at the basketball hoop! Not so sure that isn't me standing next to the Hereford! Thanks for the nostalgic memories of good times and thank you Chuck for the same including the JD!

In the late 70s, early 80s, Chuck Wagon and the Wheels travelled to Fat Cat's in Encinitas many times. Good times. Back in the middle of the Country Swing craze. Thanks Flo and Tom
