The band's debut album,Young Chasers, was released on March 30, 2015 on the Virgin EMI label and was produced by Dan Grech. Harriet Gibsone in the Guardian described the album as having "traces of We Are Scientists, the Kooks, the Libertines and Razorlight". It features the title track from their 2014 Young Chasers EP, as well as the singles "T-Shirt Weather" and "Fossils".
The band's second album, Different Creatures, was released on March 10, 2017, on the Virgin EMI label and was produced by Alan Moulder and Kieran Shudall. After releasing three different singles ("Wake Up", "Fire That Burns" and "Stuck"), the band came up with a deeper and more mature composition that keeps the first album's energy adding more meaningful lyrics and unusual instruments like violins and cellos.
On 5 April 2019 the band released their third studio album titled, What's It Like Over There?, to critical success. It was supported by the singles, "Times Won't Change Me", "Movies", and "The Way We Say Goodbye". The album earned critical acclaim for its mix of indie and pop rock, as well as the experimentation by the band. It peaked at Number 10 on the UK Albums Chart.
On 19 November 2019 the band released the single "Jacqueline" via BBC Radio 1. The single was accompanied by the announcement of their fourth studio album Sad Happy. The album was released in two parts, with the 'Happy' side released in January 2020 and the 'Sad' side followed in March 2020. According to the band, the double album concept "represents two sides of this tech-saturated, highly insecure age".
Me Myself and Hollywood
Circa Waves Lyrics

I'm an open book
And if you feel like walking
I guess we drunk enough
Tonight, to sink a ship
Our lips too dry to kiss
I'm clinging onto silhouettes of you, of you
Just me, myself and Hollywood
Me, myself and Hollywood
Just me, me
And it's me, myself and Hollywood
Just me, myself and Hollywood
Me, it's just me
And do you feel like talking?
From across the room
In the English language
You know I can't find you
Tonight the truth will slip
This drink too strong too sip
I'm holding onto memories of you, of you
But it's me, myself and Hollywood
Just me, myself and Hollywood
Me, myself and Hollywood
Just me, me
And it's me, myself and Hollywood
Just me, myself and Hollywood
Me, it's just me
Have I been sad like I thought I would?
And have I been bad? Or have I been good?
In Hollywood
In Hollywood
But it's me, myself and Hollywood
Just me, myself and Hollywood
Me, myself and Hollywood
Just me, myself and Hollywood
Me, myself and Hollywood
Me, myself and Hollywood
The song "Me Myself and Hollywood" by Circa Waves explores themes of isolation and loneliness in the bustling city of Hollywood. The opening lyrics indicate a desire for connection with another person, as the singer asks if they "feel like talking." They describe themselves as an "open book," suggesting a willingness to share their thoughts and emotions. However, as the song progresses, it becomes clear that this desire for connection is not being fulfilled. The line "I'm clinging onto silhouettes of you" suggests a longing for someone who is not fully present, perhaps lost in the distractions of Hollywood.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Just me, myself and Hollywood," emphasizing the singer's isolation in the midst of the city's glamour and chaos. The second verse adds another layer to this theme, with the singer attempting to communicate with someone from across the room but unable to find the words. The drink is too strong to sip, perhaps a metaphor for the overwhelming nature of the surroundings.

This song reminds me of my dream. Becoming a scriptwriter, but then everything vanished. I'm not a good writer, and I need money to win the bread. Now, I have a stable job and a nice career but I lost myself in the uncertainty of life. In the end, I just regret my not push myself too hard for my dream and just gave up.
