Meta
Cire Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

This is meaningless.
A life into a metaphor seems pressed in one direction,
One dimension of conflicting forms.
Start to abstract from this fluctuation static forms,
Eternalize and prophesize the random shades into accord.

Never quite together,
Always looking for some new epiphany to anchor me upon the shore.
Never quite together,

Always waiting for some grand awakening inside to open up the door

Overall Meaning

The opening lines of Cire's song "Meta" express a deep sense of hopelessness and despair. The artist reflects on the meaningless nature of existence and how life can feel like a metaphor that is limited to just one direction. This sentiment is particularly poignant because it speaks to the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of sameness and not being able to break free.

The lyrics go on to speak about conflicting forms and the need to abstract from fluctuation in order to find eternal peace. It is a message about finding some sort of order amidst the chaos of life. The idea of prophesizing random shades into accord suggests that the artist is trying to create some sense of harmony out of the many different elements that make up life.

The chorus of "Meta" talks about the struggle to find purpose and meaning in one's life. The artist is always looking for some sort of epiphany that will ground them and give them a sense of direction. The grand awakening that is mentioned suggests that the artist is aware that they need some sort of internal transformation to overcome their feelings of confusion and chaos. In essence, "Meta" is a song about struggling to find one's place in the world and trying to make sense of the chaos around us.

Is eric the drummer? Who was the singer ? I noticed on the cire channel some the old albums now on private. The new material is some shitty plasticy spanish pop.

Ace

I wonder why the old Cire singer stopped writing material. He wrote some kick ass songs. if i had his contact I would totally offer to play drums and secondary guitar for a new project.

Christian Dawson

He has released other material with his band Emptyself after Cire disbanded. He’s currently making blues rock records under Eric Johanson.
