Clement Marfo & The Frontline’s inimitable sound comes from their deft ability to fuse hip-hop, grime, rock and pop in a brilliantly idiosyncratic fashion. Known for their energetic and irrepressible live shows, the last year has seen them gain early radio support from Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Semtex; as well as playing live with a wide range of artists including Plan B, Example and Florence and The Machine. This summer saw them play big shows at The Coronet for ‘Let’s Go Crazy, Hoxton Bar & Grill for ‘ILUVLIVE’ and Shoreditch House for ‘Wired’. They also took part in Sara Cox’s Insanity New Music Tour, playing at universities across the UK.
The band’s first underground single ‘Overtime’ featuring UK grime rapper Ghetts will be released on 14th November. Having already been supported by 1xtra, Choice, Capital, Rinse and Kiss, the single is a great introduction to the band and comes with remixes by SX, Cruelty and Royal-T, while the online video was picked up and recommended by Ed Sheeran, SBTV, Semtex, Sway, Smiler, Master Shortie, Chantelle Fiddy and MistaJam among others.
Following on from ‘Overtime’, the band will release second underground single ‘Mayhem’ early in the New Year. This will be followed by the already

The walls are thin around me
I don't have the balls for the down side
I don't take it seriously
We are the champions of endings
I know where that shit's gonna lead (yeah)
Don't have no use for pretending
We're what we wanted to be
And she said
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
You got the message i'm sending
You want to be one of them
We are the champions of endings
We'll be together again
And she said
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
It's not a place to stop
No time for giving up
We're running out today
I'm over it okay
We're never at the top
We're gonna let it rock
We're the champions
We're the champions
We've got the champions of endings
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
Are you alone
It's alright
Are you alone
It's okay
The lyrics of Clement Marfo & The Frontline's "Champion" highlight themes of vulnerability, perseverance, and defiance in the face of adversity. From the outset, the song focuses on the singer's perceived limitations, both physical and mental. They don't have the strength or bravery to tackle difficult challenges, and they don't take life too seriously. Despite this, however, they proclaim themselves to be "champions of endings," suggesting that they possess a certain resilience or tenacity that allows them to weather life's trials and tribulations.
The central message of the song is that it's okay to feel vulnerable and uncertain, but this shouldn't stop us from striving for greatness. The repeated refrain of "Are you alone? It's okay" reinforces this idea of acceptance, reminding the listener that they are not alone in their struggles. The song encourages us to keep pushing forwards, promising a sense of unity and belonging with those who share our struggles and triumphs.
Overall, "Champion" is a powerful anthem that speaks to the human need for connection, strength, and hope, and it encourages us to embrace our imperfections as a source of strength rather than shame.

It's because it's one of those songs that's become kind of a theme song for many brands.. Cm punk from WWE, movie soundtracks etc.. So many people don't view the "official" video.. Promise you though, it's much bigger than 2mil views

Can't believe songs like this did not get the attention they deserved. Remind me of those WWE years as a kid! Miss them

The fact that WWE used them as a ppv theme should say a lot about how great the song is and how that should be a boost for popularity
