The Millennium Prayer
Cliff Richard Lyrics

Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as in heaven
Give us to thee our daily bread
And forgive our sins
As we forgive each one of those who sin against us
And lead us not to the time of trial
But deliver us from evil
Lead us not to the time of trial
Keep us from evil
For thine is the kingdom the power and the glory
Let all the people sing Amen
In every tribe and tongue
Let every hearts desire be joined
To see the kingdom come
Let every hope and every dream
Be born in love again
Let all the world sing with one voice
Let the people say amen
Amen Amen Amen
Amen Amen Amen
The Millennium Prayer by Cliff Richard is a modern prayer that has musical notes added to it. The song starts with the words, "Our Father Who art in Heaven" which is a commonly known phrase from the Lord's Prayer. The lyrics of the song are an interpretation of the Lord's Prayer and they go on to ask for the daily bread and forgiveness of sins. The idea of asking for guidance during the time of trial and deliverance from evil again ties back to the original prayer. The end of the song is a repetition of Amen, which is the widely used word to signify acceptance or agreement.
This song is a beautiful rendition of the prayer that we say every day. The lyrics not only convey what the prayer implies but also reminds us of the virtues of love and kindness. The use of music in the song adds to the depth of the prayer and makes it an enjoyable and memorable experience. The repetition of the word 'Amen' at the end of the song creates a sense of harmony and togetherness that one feels when they pray together with others.

I agree with u . There are dissatisfied and jealous people in the world. If they can sing and produce any song l will gladly buy their records. Before doing that l shall criticise their singing.

You can see the joy in his face throughout this video as he obviously sings a song that means so much to him. This has become a top favourite of mine now, amongst my other favourites of his songs.
