With his backing group The Shadows, he dominated the British popular music scene in the late 1950s and early 1960s, before and during the The Beatles' first year in the charts. A conversion to Christianity and subsequent softening of his music led to his having more of a pop than rock image. Although never able to achieve the same impact in the United States as in Britain (in spite of several chart hits there), Richard has remained a popular music, film, and television personality in the UK and also retains a following in several other countries.
During the last six decades, Cliff Richard has charted many hit singles, and holds the record (along with Elvis Presley) as the only act to make the UK singles charts in all of its active decades (1950s–2000s). According to his website, he has sold 250 million records over the course of his career. In the British charts alone, Richard has had more than 150 singles, albums and EPs make the top 20.

Get set (get set)
Now ready (ready)
Go
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
Now here's a dance
Everyone can do
It's the hipster's dance
And the square cats too
Won't you take a chance
This is all you do
You just take your baby
Don't you leave that spot
Then you dance like crazy
Give it all you've got
That's the razzle dazzle
If you're ready or not
On your mark (on your mark)
Get set (get set)
Now ready (ready)
Go
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
If it's all night long
interlude
Let's get together (get together)
One, two and three (one, two and three)
Jumpin' to the center (to the center)
Just you and me (just you and me)
Put your best foot forward (wack-a doo, wack-a-doo)
Baby can't you see (baby can't you see)
When you hear them holler
And you ain't nowhere
Honey, you just foller
'Cause we're sure not square
That's the razzle dazzle
Well, it's everywhere
On your mark (on your mark)
Get set (get set)
Now ready (ready)
Go
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
If it's all night long
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
Everybody razzle dazzle
A-going on and on
If it's all night long
That's the razzle dazzle
Razzle dazzle song
The song "Razzle Dazzle" performed by Cliff Richard and The Shadows is a classic rock ’n’ roll tune that encourages dancing and having a good time. The opening lyrics set the mood for the song by urging the listeners to get ready for a good time by encouraging them to get into position, then declaring “Go” to get the party started.
The song invites everyone to participate in the “Razzle Dazzle,” which is a type of dance that the hipsters and square cats can both do together. The dance involves taking your baby and not leaving the dance floor. You just dance like crazy and give it your all, showing all your best moves. The chorus repeats the call to "Everybody razzle dazzle, if it's all night long," which means dancing and enjoying oneself until the break of dawn.
Overall the song is meant to be fun and light, and the lyrics serve as an invitation to everyone listening to join in and enjoy themselves.
