The longest liver see the most
The good the bad the worst
The longest liver hear the most
The good the bad the worst
The longest liver feel the most
The good the bad the worst
The good the bad the worst and
I am thankful for all I am thankful for all
Sometimes we sing sometimes we talk
Sometimes we run sometimes we walk
Sometimes we laugh sometimes we cry
Sometimes we wet sometimes we dry
And when all when all is said and done
I am thankful for all I am thankful for all
I am thankful for all I am thankful for all
The longest liver see the most
The good the bad the worst
The longest liver hear the most
The good the bad the worst
The longest liver feel the most
The good the bad the worst
The longest liver know the most
The good the bad the worst and
I am thankful for all I am thankful for all
Sometimes we sleep sometimes we wake
Sometimes we give sometimes we take
Sometimes we push sometimes we pull
Sometimes we hungry sometimes we full
And when all when all is said and done
I am thankful for all I am thankful for all
I am thankful for all I am thankful for all
The lyrics of Clinton Fearon's song "I Am Thankful" convey a message of gratitude for all aspects of life, both positive and negative. The repetition of the phrase "I am thankful for all" emphasizes the singer's appreciation for everything that he has experienced.
The first stanza highlights the idea that those who live the longest have witnessed the most, including the good, the bad, and the worst. This suggests that through longevity, one gains wisdom and understanding from both positive and negative experiences. The repetition of this stanza reinforces the concept that the longest liver has seen, heard, felt, and learned the most.
The second stanza draws attention to the variations and fluctuations of life. It emphasizes that life consists of singing, talking, running, walking, laughter, tears, wetness, dryness, and every other contrasting experience. The stanza concludes by acknowledging that when everything has been said and done, the singer is grateful for it all.
