What's Wrong
Clon Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Clon's song "What's Wrong" express the pain and confusion of a person who is left heartbroken and abandoned by their significant other. The song begins with the regret of going to a cafe where they used to enjoy meeting each other, only to find that all their hopes and expectations crumble when they see the door open and realize that everything has changed. The singer reflects on the happy moments they shared with their loved one, only to be met with a cold and distant demeanor, ultimately leading to a painful breakup.

As the lyrics progress, the singer comes to understand the reasons behind their partner's sudden change in behavior and the decision to leave them. They reflect on the confusion and frustration of not knowing why their partner kept avoiding them, assuming it was just a temporary misunderstanding. However, as time passes and the lack of communication becomes apparent, the harsh reality sinks in that their partner has truly abandoned them without any explanation, leaving them feeling lonely and rejected.

The song delves into the singer's desperate attempts to reconnect with their partner, even waiting near their house for days in the hope of reconciliation. Despite clinging onto the belief that there must be a valid reason for the breakup, they eventually come to terms with the fact that their partner left them without any justification or closure. The pain of being ignored and discarded without a proper goodbye lingers, highlighting the singer's feelings of worthlessness and sadness in the aftermath of the breakup.

In the end, the lyrics convey the singer's lingering hope for a reconciliation, as they anxiously wait for a call or message from their ex-partner, only to be met with silence and indifference. The sense of emptiness and disappointment in not receiving even a farewell message underscores the deep emotional impact of the abrupt and unexplained breakup. Overall, the lyrics of "What's Wrong" capture the themes of heartbreak, confusion, and longing for closure in a relationship that has ended abruptly and painfully.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but just stumbled on this.

Also the last second, Anakin would doubt Fives because accusing Palpatine was unbelievable to Anakin specifically.

Layers upon layers of control mechanism Sideous put in place saved his plan indirectly.

The one person most likely to believe the clones who rebelled a bit, was also the person most under his control.

Brilliant.

the way it expands on obi wan and maul's relationship is one of the most special things about the show to me... Especially Maul. (some spoilers below for clone wars+ rebels)

He is now one of my top star wars characters if not top characters of all time. I heard someone else call him a Sisyphus character and I believe it fits so well... a character who is repeatedly beaten down and condemned to a life of repeating the same mistakes and failing over and over and over again. He is a horrible person and his life is so tragic. Taken from his family and stripped of his identity, groomed into an embodiment of anger and revenge and the dark side. He was a slave to Sidious, was indoctrinated and ultimately cut in half for it. His anger and rage at obi wan ( and sidious) kept him alive and it was his brother, someone with no ulterior motives for him that brought him back to the world and gave him strength. An important thing a video I watched pointed out was that his whole sense of relationships was completely warped by sidious. He could only view relationships as a master and an apprentice, someone who dominates and someone subservient. This is vital for his character. His brother came to him out of love and Maul, although needing that companionship and trust, could not accept that. He needed to force that relationship into something he understood, a master and an apprentice, and thus threatened and treated Savage as an apprentice who must be subservient to him. While watching the show I didnt fully understand why Maul was so cruel to his brother but putting it into this perspective makes so much sense to me. Then, Savage is killed by Sidious and you see that despite how he treated his brother, he cared for him deeply, holding him as he died. In the Maul comics he is again used by Sidious after this to bait Mother Talzin who was actually Maul's mother, into a trap where she is killed by grievous. He is again barred from any meaningful connections with people.

Maul seeks revenge above all else and he channels all his anger and rage about his life into hatred of Obi wan. In the duel of the fates Obi wan slices Maul in half out of rage and revenge for his fallen master. The same emotions that Maul clings to and revolve around his identity. However, Obi wan has the capacity to let go. He can move on and emotionally grow and learn. Maul kills Satine to fuel Obi Wan's anger, to hurt him. But Obi wan has grown and can let go, and when Maul "Calls" for him the last time in the seige of Mandalore, he does not come. He is not consumed by a need for revenge.

Rebels completes his story so well in my opinion. He is a severely broken person, manipulative and cunning and still holding on to all his anger and his need for revenge. He knows he cannot defeat Sidious and so once again he channels all his rage into the want to kill Obi wan. (He also seeks companionship the only way he knows, through a master apprentice relationship with ezra) When he finally fights obi wan he is instantly defeated. Its a small detail but something Ive learned is that the way obi wan kills him is by copying qui gon jinn's original stance against maul. Maul cant change so does the exact same thing he did to kill Qui gon jinn. But Obi wan has grown and learned and studied this fight and knows exactly how to counter it. He defeats him easily. Its so perfect. And then Obi wan holds him with compassion and respect as he dies and Maul learns of luke and says he will avenge them both. Because Mauls hatred was never really towards Obi wan. It was towards Sidious. Maul doenst die alone.

I just love him.

"The original trilogy shines in its execution, while the prequels shine in their vision." This is the best way I've ever heard it put and I'm stealing this for the future.

@hattorihaso2579

And the sequels are a shiny piece of shit

@ladrac198

@Hasan Halilbasic I will argue that Ben Solo's arc is really good, but other than that, yeah it's a pile of horse dung shined up to look pretty

@hattorihaso2579

@Nathan Cardall lol no whata good about it a simple rehash of anakins story

Now adam driver is an excellent actor and should have been the main character of the series and i would have liked it to be about him fighting against the skywalker pull to the darkside but not succumbing to it

@ivandphantom9028

Here's a represantation with cakes
Original Trilogy: The cake itself is very delicious and the decorations even looks good.
Prequel trilogy: The cake itself had some bad sides and seems weaker than the first one but it is still edible and the decorations of the cake is absolutely beutiful
Sequel Trilogy: Small pieces of edible cake surrounded by garbage and is covered with the most beutiful decorations there is

@AndrewAce.

It's honestly the perfect way to putting it.

When making the OT, Lucas probably didn't envision that he would be creating a saga, he just wanted to tell a good, simple story, and he told it well. With the prequels, it seems obvious that he was beginning to envision a much grander tale that would encompasses both trilogies, and began to plan it out more carefully.

It's literally vision vs execution...

Can we all take a moment to appreciate Dee Bradley Baker who played all of the clone troopers. Like holy shit it takes a ton of skill and talent to play literally dozens of characters that all have the same voice but are unique individuals with their own wants and desires

@killhimnotme9129

Mot to forget he also played other roles like the spider admiral guy

@Commander_Appo

Don’t forget some episodes where he’s like the only voice actor
