You know how rewarding it can be when you stumble upon music that really grabs you? It has been some time but today I am greatly rewarded. How refreshing it is to find truly great artist and music. I am hooked. Had to add an idea. I wonder if they changed slightly the name of the band by adding 19 to the end how they would be remembered? I only thought of it as a way to remember a new favorite band . My memory is going too fast. Too many fires with no air-packs in the old days the doctors tell me.

Unpretentious and Original is how I would describe this music. What is really cool is how the also talented drummer clearly appears to be a big fan of the groove and Yvette's incremental and highly melodic talents. Her use of the capo, unusual tuning and her ear, born from a classical background in Piano and Violin lend well to the eclectic musical journey she takes her fans on. The sound is huge- would never guess it was only a trio. The rest of the band sounds great too but she is really something special.

Love the overall sound, reminds me of Minus the Bear but with no vocals....and more time changes. And holy fuck, what a DOPE rhythm section. The drummer is super creative and has the chops to pull it off, and the bass player rides the top half of the neck for most of the tune but it still somehow has nice low end and a deep groove. Excellent work. (Note I did not mention the obvious dopeness of the guitar work. That doesn't need to be said.)

I know what I'm going to say is pointless but I can't help but be fascinated with Yvette. Firstly, she is a very sincere person and I believe she has a deep sentimental value for music, like her brain is literally wired for it. everything about her, the way she dresses, the way she plays, the way she talks tells me she's more than a musician, an artist. she just seems like someone who is deeply into their own interests and have adored a personality around that particular interest. It is fascinating to me because i tend to focus deeply on emotional music/art (I was a great artist as a kid!) and feel somehow I develop some similarities with her approach to music/art in general. She has once described in an interview that her youth was 'eccentric' and was 'a weird kid', I'm not surprised :) she is still a rare beautiful gem even now.

Dude this is so good. I can explain it, but they’re just pure and honest with their music. They’re not making it pretentious, or seem like they’re trying too hard to be “free-spirited”. They’re just rockin out. They also keep everything so simple while simultaneously having so many layers. They’ve also got inconceivable chemistry with one another. What really helps with that goal is to make at least one stranger smile everyday. It's as easy as asking someone "How are you" with a warm welcoming smile. Trust me it's an amazing feeling when they respond with such a bright smile. Not everyone will have that reaction though. Some people may not be in the best mood and might ignore you. They could be in a bad mood. Maybe they'll think about it later and smile. Others might be really shy and have social anxiety, but they still might appreciate it deep down inside them. Just keep your chin up and try your hardest to wear a smile on your face. With enough practice you'll be spreading happiness to everyone around you.
