Having toured with Audien, Matoma, Two Friends and performing on the stages of Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo, Life in Color, and Mysteryland, Codeko has just begun to immerse himself into his craft. His original "Walking With Lions" (Armada), was voted SiriusXM BPM Breaker of the Year, after being selected the official Electric Zoo Anthem. His unofficial remix of Marshmello’s “Silence” hit #1 on Sirius XM's BPM countdown, and his hit single “Say Hi” (Astralwerks) has collected over 15 million streams to date. After releasing several records for Enhanced Recordings as a teenager, he caught the attention of many of his industry peers - dance music icons Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, and Gryffin in particular - and went on to release several originals and remixes on Musical Freedom, Heldeep Records, and Darkroom Records.
Superhuman
Codeko Lyrics

Holding on
Can I sink or swim
Cold night
On my own
Halo starts to dim, oh
No way of knowing, no
Oh (whoa)
Let the weight of the world go
Always looking for a sweet escape
Always looking for a new direction
Always searching for a brighter day
Thought we wanted life to be perfection
Hey no no, hey no no
Hey, it's just a grand illusion
No matter what we'll still get through it
'Cause it turns out we're superhuman
(Human)
Quiet
All the noise
Open up my heart
Push through
A little pain
To get to the deepest parts, oh (whoa)
No way of knowing, no
No way of knowing, no
Oh (whoa)
Let the weight of the world go
Always looking for a sweet escape
Always looking for a new direction
Always searching for a brighter day
Thought we wanted life to be perfection
Hey no no, hey no no
Hey, it's just a grand illusion
No matter what we'll still get through it
'Cause it turns out we're superhuman
('Cause it turns out we're superhuman)
('Cause it turns out we're superhuman)
Superhuman
No matter what we'll still get through it
'Cause it turns out we're superhuman
The lyrics of Codeko's song "Superhuman" convey a powerful message of resilience and strength in the face of challenges. The opening lines speak of the struggle to hold on and the uncertainty of whether one will sink or swim in difficult circumstances. The mention of a cold night and the dimming halo hints at feelings of isolation and vulnerability. The repetition of "no way of knowing" underscores the theme of uncertainty and the need to let go of the weight of the world.
As the song progresses, the singer expresses a desire for escape and a new direction, reflecting a longing for a brighter future. The idea of life being imperfect yet still manageable is highlighted, emphasizing the resilience and inner strength that allows one to overcome obstacles. The concept of being superhuman is introduced as a metaphor for the ability to persevere and endure hardships.
The lyrics also touch upon the idea of silence amidst noise and the necessity of opening up one's heart to reach the deepest parts within oneself. The mention of pushing through pain suggests a willingness to confront challenges head-on in order to grow and evolve. The repetition of "no way of knowing" and the call to let go of the weight of the world reinforce the theme of surrendering control and trusting in the process of resilience.
In the final verses, the chorus emphasizes the idea that despite life's imperfections and challenges, we possess an inner strength that enables us to persevere and emerge stronger. The affirmation that "we're superhuman" serves as a reminder of the innate resilience and power within each individual to overcome adversity. Overall, the lyrics of "Superhuman" inspire listeners to embrace their own inner strength and resilience in the face of life's obstacles and uncertainties.
