Man On The Silver Mountain
Concept of God Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm a wheel, I'm a wheel
I can roll, I can feel
And you can't stop me turning

Cause I'm the sun, I'm the sun
I can move, I can run
But you'll never stop me burning
Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again

I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain

I'm the day, I'm the day
I can show you the way
And look, I'm right beside you

I'm the night, I'm the night
I'm the dark and the light
With eyes that see inside you

Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again

I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain

Come down with fire
And lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again

Well, I can help you, you know I can

I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain

Just look at me and listen
I'm the man, the man, give you my hand
I'm the man on the silver mountain

Come down with fire
And lift your spirit higher
I'm the man on the mountain
The man on the silver mountain
I'm the night, the light

Pro quality players here. Amazing pipes on that singer, and really imaginative tricky stuff by the guitarist. Bass and drums were kicking it too! Gotta highlight the fact the singer is one of the few I've heard covering Dio who has that same gutsy quality Dio had even when singing the the high notes where it's tons difficult to keep that quality.

I'm a big fan of anything involving Rob Lowe... Solitude Aeturnus, Concept of God, the later Candlemass albums.. although the remakes Candlemass did of some of their older songs with Rob can be a little hit-or-miss for me... At the Gallows End, he really breathed a new life into that song... Solitude.. I think I'll always be partial to the original with Messiah.
