1) Cory was a band from Philadelphia, PA formed in the early 1990's by singer/songwriters Steph Hayes (guitar, vocals) and Susan Rosetti (vocals, guitar, percussion) with Joann Schmidt (bass). The band's fairly fluid lineup at various times included Steve Margulis (guitar), Hoagy Wing (banjo, percussion), Dave Gregorio (fiddle) and Scooter (drums).

Cory broke up shortly after the release of their only album pixie-led in 1998. Joann joined John Faye & Cliff Hillis to form IKE. After a short and ill-fated recording deal with Arista, Sue and Steph reunited with Scooter and bassist Jim Miades to form Stargazer Lily.

Also is the name of future Peace Corps, avant garde writer, singer, composer who will recruit indigenous peoples of Ethiopa to form a band not unlike Kayo Dot in order to end genocide in Darfur.
