Cancion De Adios
Coti Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Fuiste la luz de mi vida
Y mi musa preferida
Pero todo se acabo
Fuiste mi cruz de rosario
Mi suerte en el calendario
La dueña de mi colchón

Fuiste un tango puro y duro
Escrito en papel oscuro
Que no quiero ni cantar
Una guitarra sin cuerdas
Un collar falso de perlas
Que nunca vieron el mar

Fuiste un jardín de malvones
Un vinilo sin rayones
Una dama de verdad
Que duro 15 minutos
Y ahora me dejas el luto
De no querer verte mas

Fuiste una lady Madonna
Fuiste un gol de Maradona
Fuiste la mano de dios
Fuiste todo pero fuiste
Yo no se si me entendiste
Que te estoy diciendo adiós

Fuiste un “día que me quieras”
Fuiste Gardel y Le Pera
Y la Isla de Camarón
Fuiste en Madrid, Hortaleza
Y en Buenos Aires princesa
Reina de mi corazón

Fuiste la luz de mi vida
Y mi musa preferida
Que ya no puedo expirar
Ni un canto ni una ranchera
Ni un solo verso siquiera
Solo esta canción de adiós

Fuiste la luz de mi vida
Y mi musa preferida
Que ya no puedo expirar
Ni un tango ni una ranchera
Ni un solo verso siquiera
Solo esta canción de adiós

Y este fue mi testamento
De un amor que de contento
No me dejó ni el sudor
Solo queda despedirme
Con voz ronca pero firme
El mal trago ya paso

Medio vals mitad ranchera
Le pongo el nombre que quieras
Y lo pinto Rock and Roll
Aquí adelante de todos
Le estoy diciendo a mi modo

Te estoy diciendo a mi modo
Buena suerte, chau, adiós…

Overall Meaning

The song "Canción de Adios" by Coti is a beautiful but sad goodbye song. The lyrics speak to the end of a relationship that was once bright and full of life, but has now come to an end. The singer refers to their former partner as the "light" of their life and their favorite muse, but acknowledges that all good things must come to an end. They also mention that their former partner was their "cross of rosary," suggesting that the relationship may have been a burden or carried some sort of religious significance.

The singer also uses vivid imagery to describe their former partner. They compare them to a pure and dark tango that they no longer wish to sing, a guitar without strings, and a fake pearl necklace that has never been in the sea. They also describe them as a true lady and queen of their heart, but ultimately conclude that they must say goodbye. The singer ends by acknowledging that their former partner was everything to them, but the time has come to let go.

Overall, the song is a poignant reflection on the end of a love story. It's a perfect song for anyone who has ever had to say goodbye to someone they cared about deeply.

Qué nostalgia me da esta canción, me acuerdo de cuando salió y la ponían todo el tiempo en la radio...preciosa :)

@celitajpr616
