In Bloom
Could Ever Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We got ourselves into a mess
And we don't know how to get out of it
Tell our friends we're better now
But we can't say with confidence
Not to be comparative
But how come they make so much sense
And we're just stuck here again
Oh we're stuck here again
We're not tryna pretend
Is this the beginning or end?
We're always just stuck on the fence

I love you
Did we mean it when we said I do
Point of view
I think that we're just in bloom

Woke up and smelled the roses
I suppose it's possibly my selfishness
Start the morning living for you
Only just to acquiesce
The way I put my weight
Above my honest goodness consciousness
And we're just stuck here again

Stuck here again
I'm not tryna pretend
Is this the beginning
Or the end?

I, I wanted from the start
For you to hold my heart
Have everything I am
I just wanna let you know
I'm here until we grow
What little that we have

I wanted from the start
For you to hold my heart
Have everything I am
I just wanna let you know
I'm here until we grow
What little that we have

'Cause we're brand new
They tried to break us
But we're stuck like glue

I love you
And we meant it when we said I do
Point of view
I think that we're just in bloom

That we're just in bloom
That we're just in bloom
That we're just in bloom
I think that we're just in bloom
That we're just in bloom

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la (la-la)

I think that we're just in bloom
That we're just in bloom

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "In Bloom" by Could Ever explore the theme of being stuck in a stagnant and uncertain relationship. The singer acknowledges being in a mess and not knowing how to get out of it. They try to portray a better image to their friends, but deep down, they lack the confidence to truly believe in their own improvement. They compare their situation to others who seem to have everything figured out, leaving them feeling stuck and lost.

The repetition of being "stuck" highlights the feeling of being trapped in the relationship, unable to move forward or make a decision. The singer questions whether they are at the beginning or the end of their journey, indicating their confusion and struggle to understand the state of their relationship.

The line "I love you, Did we mean it when we said I do" reveals a sense of uncertainty and doubt about the authenticity of their love and the commitment they made. The singer wonders if their love was genuine or just a fleeting moment of emotion. They see their relationship as fragile, comparing it to being in bloom, a delicate state that requires nurturing and growth.

The lyrics also reflect on the singer's self-awareness and shortcomings. They admit to being selfish and prioritizing their own desires, even if it means compromising their authenticity. This realization contributes to their feeling of being stuck, as they recognize the need to change and grow but struggle to break free from their own patterns.

The chorus expresses a hopeful and determined tone, as the singer asserts their love and reassures their partner that they are willing to stay and work on the relationship. Despite the challenges they face, they believe they can overcome them and grow together. The repetition and emphasis on being "stuck like glue" highlights their commitment to each other and their determination to defy the odds.

Overall, "In Bloom" conveys the frustration, uncertainty, and hope that come with being in a complicated relationship. The lyrics invite listeners to reflect on their own experiences and the challenges they may face in their own relationships, while also offering a glimmer of hope and the possibility of growth and change.

This is probably the best Beatles song

@idontlikeseeinglongusernam4589

If they WERE around in the 1960s then they would of been as big as the Beatles.
if not then bigger

@garethjones3227

Don't agree on that one dude, i think they would have been to avant garde for that early on in music history. The worlds ears just wasn't ready back then. Just take the pixies as an example, they were way ahead of thier time and would have been better recieved between 95-05' imho.
It's the whole back to the future johnny b goode scenario.

@clowntrooper61

No they wouldn't. They weren't british.
