After becoming comfortable in her musical surrounding, at the age of 17 Courtney got up the urge to start recording her own material. After hearing the young songbirds demo, Universal Records invited Courtney to New York to meet with her and potentially discuss her future. Feeling she wasn’t ready at the time, she was still offered her an internship to learn the inner workings of the music industry.
Around 2007, Artists started using the internet and social media to develop their own brands and just like other early Artists like Wiz Khalifa, Wale and others, Courtney took to the internet to reach millions around the world and display her talents.
Showing and proving she had developed her music like she said she would, the same A&R she interned with in New York, decided it was her time and brought her into his fold like he said he would, with the newly developed Brookland Entertainment, which was home to artists with such household names as Lil Kim, August Rigo and The Trackmasters. Unfortunately due to creative differences Courtney felt it was best to part ways with Brookland Entertainment.
After leaving New York, Courtney then moved back to Pittsburgh to start her journey over once more, which may have been the blessing she needed, while home recording she ran into a child hood friend and up and coming rapper Wiz Khalifa. Wiz was making a name for himself and was very impressed with Courtney’s music and sound, so much that he featured her on his break out mixtape Prince of the City Vol. 2 on the popular track “Bank Roll” co-written by Courtney herself.
They say good things come in threes, and Courtney’s journey may have finally paid off when during Wiz Khalifa’s 2010 Wake and Bake tour, he asked Courtney to join the him on the to perform bankroll, which later led to her signing to his newly developed Taylor Gang imprint, and even a feature on his chart topping album O.N.I.F.C on the upbeat track “Got Everything”.
Courtney Noelle is currently working on her Love on the Run Mixtape which includes features from label mates, Chevy Woods, Juicy J, and of course TGOD Captain Wiz Khalifa. In the mean time her current body of work Wishing on a Star is available for download and she can be seen on tour with the rest of her Taylor Gang cohorts on the Under The Influence of Music 2 Tour. Recollect
Courtney Noelle Lyrics

I've been trying to find you
You forget, well, let me remind
I'm the girl that you had no time for
I'm the one that you left here broken
I'm the girl that you had no love for
You left me broken to die
I remember
Remember that, remember you
Remember me, remember us
Remember we, we used to be
So in love
Remember that, remember me
Remember you
'Cause I remember
Remember that, remember you
Remember me, remember us
Remember we, we used to be
So in love
Remember that, remember me
Remember you
'Cause I remember
Remember, remember
I remember
Remember, remember
There you go
I know I just saw you
But what do I call you?
You're the one who just put a knife through my heart
To keep it real, I want to kill you
Make you feel what my heart has been through
Am I going too far? Going too far
Remember that, remember you
Remember me, remember us
Remember we, we used to be
So in love
Remember that, remember me
Remember you
'Cause I remember
Remember that, remember you
Remember me, remember us
Remember we, we used to be
So in love
Remember that, remember me
Remember you
'Cause I remember
Remember, remember
I remember
Remember, remember
You left my heart open wide
You left me broken to die
I remember
In Courtney Noelle's song "Recollect," she sings about a past love that has returned to her life. She starts the song by asking where the person has been, as she has been searching for them. She then reminds them how they had once treated her poorly, leaving her broken-hearted and feeling unloved. Noelle's lyrics suggest that the person had left her vulnerable and exposed, allowing her feelings to spill out without considering the consequences.
Towards the end of the song, Noelle admits that she wants to harm the person and make them feel the same pain that she has endured. She acknowledges that this may be going too far, but the conflicting emotions that she is feeling towards this person are overwhelming. By repeating the phrase "remember that, remember you, remember me," Noelle is holding the person accountable for their actions and reminding them of their past.
Overall, "Recollect" is a powerful song about confronting the pain of the past and holding others accountable for their actions. It is a reminder that while time may pass, emotions and feelings can still be raw and intense.
