In 2009 Vallesteros began experimenting with simple synth and guitar lines, gradually layering them to create the sound that would become Craft Spells.[1] After signing with Captured Tracks, the band released their debut full-length, Idle Labor, in early 2011 and went on tour with Beach Fossils.[2] The album was described as a soft, synthy, dreamy compendium of new wave music and 80s pop similar to New Order with Vallesteros' voice style sounding like Ian Curtis.[3][4]
The band's next EP, Gallery, was released on 2012. It was followed by their second LP, Nausea on 2014.

Craft Spells Lyrics

Is it so strange to to walk back home
I wouldn't listen for, what it's worth
Watching my time wrinkle alone
Bringing me back now, paranoia
Giving me something to give up
Moving along now
It's made me dizzy
Nausea
You've kept youself away from everyone you used know
Nausea
You brought yourself here now everybody's gonna know
Is it so strange
Is it so strange to be alone
I wouldn't listen for what it's worth
Watching the sky as it unfolds
Bringing me back now, paranoia
Giving me something to give up
Moving along now, it's made me dizzy
Watching the clouds as i go home
Nausea
You've kept youself away from everyone you used to know
Nausea
You brought yourself here now everybody's gonna know
In the song "Nausea" by Craft Spells, the lyrics seem to be about the feeling of isolation and paranoia. The first verse describes the act of walking back home and not listening to anyone, watching time pass and feeling lonely. The chorus repeats the word "nausea" twice, indicating perhaps physical symptoms of anxiety, and how the person has kept themselves away from everyone they used to know. The second verse describes watching the sky, feeling paranoid, and once again feeling dizzy as they go home.
One possible interpretation of this song is that it is about the effects of depression and anxiety on a person's life. The sense of isolation, paranoia, and physical discomfort all relate to these mental health issues. The chorus resonates with those who feel like they are not able to connect with others or maintain those relationships they once had. The song may also be about the struggle to get through these feelings, as the lyrics describe the act of moving along.
In conclusion, the lyrics of "Nausea" by Craft Spells could relate to a range of experiences, but they share a common theme of feeling disconnected, paranoid, and out of place.

Anybody who thinks music sucks nowadays, spend some time finding new music. Songs like this are great.

Exactly what I say. The people who complain about how good music does not exist nowadays are clearly not listening to the right ones, or haven't found what they like.
isa
exactly. people who say the music sucks now don't bother to look past what the radio plays and the top charts on itunes. if you want good music find it, it's out there.

Watching this video and listening to the song it makes me feel like I'm in one of those slow sorta towns, nothing much happens, quiet, but it's peaceful, cold mornings, damp forests, summer youth in autumn rain, and forever being naive and not growing up. A Stephen King novel without the supernatural meets Submarine.
