Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Craig Connelly feat. Sue McLaren's song Home describe the emotional turmoil caused by a toxic relationship. I havent purchased a trance album for a long while (probably last time was 2010) and that is because of the state of trance music was in. Every producer was moving towards the cheesy big room sounds of EDM to fill their pockets and for some of them I can understand that but for true fans like me who fell in love with their unique sounds were heartbroken. @WickedThreshold Sadly way too many DJ/producers have sold out to generic uplifting crap lately. Trance has lost its magic and inspirational elements.
Trance is now sounding like really bad elevator music (yes, worse than elevator music is saying something).
This is why many of us keep coming back to these old tunes. It's an oasis for our ears.

What a lot of DJ's do is just throw together a tune without thinking about the creative elements and the melody.
I believe that Trance should always start off with a short and simple and beautiful melody like How Can I. Then the Trance sound should be built around that.
It's like you create the "heart" and then the body of the tune comes to life and shines.

I shed a tear reading this, I understand your loss. My french poodle, Toby passed away in April 2017, after 14 amazing years. He had terminal cancer and was in pain. It was one of the hardest things my dad and I had to go through as we felt him pass away in our arms as the vet administered the injections. It was the first time I saw my dad really cry. We had console in the fact that we were both there for him, so he was in comfort and painfree upon passing. We pray that we will see him in heaven one day, I do believe that the Lord will grant us that pleasure :) Uplifting Trance music has gotten me through some tough times, as has Orchestral and classical music (both similar in many ways). It's amazing how this music can make us experience a wide variety of emotions, but they end up uplifting us in some way. Only a fellow trancer understands it! <3
