Creed is an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida formed in 1994. Creed was prominent in the post-grunge movement of the late 1990s and early 2000s, releasing three consecutive multi-platinum albums; their second, Human Clay (1999), received diamond (11x platinum) certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Creed has sold over 28 million records in the United States, has sold over 53 million albums worldwide, and was the ninth best-selling musical act of the 2000s.
For most of its existence, the band has consisted of lead vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist and vocalist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. Creed's first two studio albums, My Own Prison (1997) and Human Clay (1999), were released to commercial success despite unfavorable critical reception; Marshall left the band in 2000. Human Clay remains one of the best-selling albums of all time and contained the Billboard Hot 100 number one single "With Arms Wide Open"—which also won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. The band's third album, Weathered, was released in 2001, with Tremonti on bass guitar. Creed disbanded in 2004; Stapp pursued a solo career while Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips founded the band Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy.
Creed reunited in 2009, releasing their fourth album Full Circle and performing several tours before separating again in 2012. After an eleven-year hiatus, Creed reunited once more in July 2023 and announced their headlining of the Summer of '99 cruise festival in April 2024.

2. Creed was formed in 1977 by vocalist Steve Ingle and guitarist Luther Maben. Enlisting the services of Hal Butler (keyboards), James Flynn (bass), and Chip Thomas (drums), they were soon signed by Asylum Records. Their self-titled debut appeared in 1978 and was notable for "Time and Time Again," an epic southern-style guitar workout, comparable in stature to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird." Unable to attract enough media attention, the band split up shortly after the album's release.

3. There is also a German Christian metal band called Creed. They have released at least one album called "Sign of Victory" on the Pure Metal label in 1992.
Riders On The Storm

Riders on the storm.
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out on loan.
Riders on the storm.
His brain is squirming like a toad.
Take a long holiday
Let your children play.
If you give this man a ride
Sweet family will die.
Killer on the road.
Yeah.
Yeah!
Girl, you gotta love your man.
Girl, you gotta love your man.
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends.
Our life will never end.
You gotta love your man.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Riders on the storm.
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out on loan.
Riders on the storm.
Riders on the storm.
Riders on the storm.
Riders on the storm.
Riders on the storm.
Yeah!
Riders on the storm.
We're riders on the storm.
Storm, storm
We're riding on the storm
Yeah!
Riders on
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Riders on
Creed's version of Riders on the Storm is a cover of the iconic song by The Doors. The song begins with a serene yet ominous sound of rainfall, which sets the tone for the song. The phrase "riders on the storm" is repeated throughout the song, which creates a haunting and suspenseful feel. The first verse paints a picture of being born into a world where one is thrown in like a dog without a bone and an actor out on loan, which emphasizes how helpless and precarious life can be. The second verse introduces a killer on the road, whose brain is squirming like a toad. The lyrics warn against giving him a ride, as he can harm the sweet family that accompanies. The killer on the road is not only a physical threat but can symbolize the dangers and uncertainty of life.
The bridge of the song is a call to love, urging the listener to love their man and take him by the hand and make him understand the world on them depends. The message is that amidst the unpredictability of life, love can provide stability and assurance. The final verse repeats the opening lines, and the song fades with the sounds of thunder and rainfall, creating a sense of closure and finality.

The best song on the Doors tribute and one of the greatest remake of any tune ever recorded. Scott belts it out: “Rider’s on… yeah, yeah”! From the bottom of his being and thank you for that spirit!
Michael Morgan
One of the best remakes I've ever heard. It stays faithful to the original chords and background effects and spirit of the original Jim Morrison version.
