Destroy
Croc Shop Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Too many times in life things go wrong for me
Caught in this trap again
It's hard to believe
Designed to Fail
Although I tried so many times
Can it be for real
If it's all in my mind?
Now I need to destroy you

You're always strong
Because to compromise is weak
It's all my fault
That's the reward I get to keep

This situation is avoided every time
How could you decide
With so much anger in your mind?

Now I need to destroy you

I asked myself
"Why do I hold onto this?"
Carrying resentment brings on misery and stress
I can't pretend now that there is something left
All real emotion has dried up
It is dead

Now I need to destroy you

Overall Meaning

The Croc Shopโ€™s song โ€œDestroyโ€ is a poignant representation of a person grappling with their own failures and shortcomings while feeling trapped in a cycle of negativity. The lyrics convey a sense of hopelessness and futility as the singer realizes that their struggles are never-ending, leading them to act out in anger and resort to drastic measures to eradicate their internal tensions.

The song starts with the singer acknowledging the many times things have gone wrong for them in life, leading to a sense of being caught in a trap. They express disbelief at their own failures and wonder whether it is all just in their mind. This internal struggle leads them to the decision that they need to destroy whatever is causing them such misery, presumably referring to a person, situation, or their own negative thoughts.

As the song progresses, they shift their focus to the โ€œyouโ€ mentioned in the lyrics, likely referring to the source of their frustrations. The โ€œyouโ€ is portrayed as a strong and uncompromising force that expects nothing but excellence from the singer, leading to a sense of guilt and self-blame. The singer laments that they are responsible for the current situation, and the only way out is to destroy whatever is causing their distress.

In the final verse, the singer questions why they are holding onto these negative emotions and feelings of resentment, realizing that they are only causing more misery and stress. They conclude that there is no real emotion left in the situation, and so they must destroy it to move on and find some sense of peace.

Overall, โ€œDestroyโ€ is a powerful song about the struggle and desperation that people face when they feel trapped in negative situations or thoughts. The lyrics are a reminder that sometimes the only way to move on and find happiness is to let go of the past and the people or thoughts that hold us back.

I love the Clomps with the classic air pockets for added bounce. Veg Tan leather and ankle straps, just perfection!

@travisrolison9646

Yeah but on some models they are using red oak instead of the more durable white oak.
And if you get the bottom end models they went to pine, so for that price point I would expect at least a hard wood
