Telepathy
Crosses Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You hang there on the wall
You've carved out your place
But I can tell you shake from inside

I see it all the time
The feel is always there
Just frozen in your mind from inside
I wasn't gonna play it tonight
But I can't help it, the feeling's alive
As long as you play my game, I'll let you win

Before your entrance wave
Before we play this game
I like to feel you break from inside
You're gold and pink inside
And it's showing through your stare
It's frozen us in time, from inside

I wasn't gonna play it tonight
But I can't help it the feeling's alive
As long as you play my game, I'll let you win

Come play my game
I'll let you win

I wasn't gonna play it tonight

But I can't help it the feeling's alive
As long as you play my game, I'll let you win

Overall Meaning

The song Telepathy by Crosses is a haunting and introspective piece that explores the complexities of human relationships and the power dynamics that shape them. The lyrics describe a person who is hanging on the wall, seemingly carved out their place, but is actually shaking from inside, reflecting the internal struggles they are going through. The singer, who seems to have some kind of hold over this person, can see and feel through their façade, frozen in their mind, and perpetually struggling to break free.

The lyrics mention playing a game, but the game is not specified. It could be a metaphor for a variety of human interactions, such as love, friendship, or even business. The singer warns that as long as this person plays their game, they will let them win. This could be interpreted as manipulative behavior, where the singer is exerting control over the other person's emotions, while at the same time pretending to be generous.

The song is full of emotional intensity, and the use of the word "telepathy" suggests a deeper understanding between people that transcends superficial actions and words. It may be interpreted as a commentary on the often unspoken and invisible power struggles that take place in human relationships, while at the same time appealing to the desire for connection and intimacy.

Que buen album!

De principio a fin me ha enganchado...

Es como que mezcla sonidos ochenteros y sonidos mas de estos tiempos, luego los fusionan y ellos le dan su toque personal.

Y ahí tienen a Crosses..

Ya va a ser casi un año desde que salio el album, espero que el próximo sea nuevamente una evolución. Como pasa con "Deftones". Una continua evolución musical, nada de quedarse con los hits.

Experimentación es la palabra correcta..

Right in the beginning of NFS 2012, when you finish your first race with the Porsche and you park at the garage and hear the intro to Autolog.
