Thinking that you're always right
You can hold your breath,
'Cause I won't hold mine
You wouldn't care if it killed me
Misunderstood when you're guilty
Now you, can bite your tongue
It's all so complicated
The way we're built to break it
I think it's overrated
I'm sick, I'm sick
I'm sick of the weight of the world
I'm so so sick
I'm so so sick
Now, you think you've won this time
Thinking life was yours to buy
But you should wonder why
You can't sleep at night
You wouldn't care if it killed me
Misunderstood when you're guilty
No you, can bite your tongue
'Cause I won't bite mine
This time
It's all so complicated
The way we're built to break it
I think it's overrated
I'm sick, I'm sick
I'm sick of the weight of the world
Don't need your validation
Your drawn out dedication
I think it's overrated
I'm sick, I'm sick
I'm sick of the weight of the world
I'm so so sick
I'm so so sick
I'm so so sick
I'm so sick
It's all so complicated
The way we're built to break it
I think it's overrated
I'm sick, I'm sick
I'm sick of the weight of the world
Don't need your validation
Your drawn out dedication
I think it's overrated
I'm sick, I'm sick
I'm sick of the weight of the world
I'm so so sick
I'm so so sick
I'm so so sick
I'm so sick
The lyrics of Crown the Empire's song "Weight Of The World" convey a sense of frustration and exhaustion with the burdens and pressures of life. The opening lines express the feeling of being dismissed or disregarded, with the singer stating that they have been doing what they like but have felt as if they are always being judged or criticized. The tone suggests a rebellious attitude towards those who think they are always right and a refusal to conform or hold their breath for their approval.
The following lines highlight the indifference and lack of empathy from others, with the singer expressing that the person in question wouldn't care if their actions caused harm or pain. They also play with the idea of misunderstanding and guilt, suggesting that the person may not fully understand the consequences of their actions. The repeated phrase "I won't bite mine" reinforces the singer's refusal to be silenced or silenced by the person's actions or words.
Throughout the chorus, the singer expresses their weariness with the weight of the world, emphasizing how it feels complicated and overrated. They reject the need for validation from others and question the dedication or commitment that may be demanded of them. The repetition of "I'm so so sick" emphasizes the emotional toll that is being taken, and the desire to break free from these burdens and pressures.
Overall, the song paints a picture of someone who is tired of the expectations and judgment from others and yearns for freedom from the weight of the world.

Who cares? What sounds good to someone might not sound good to another. Yeah, I'm a little late because this has been out for a while, but it came up on my Spotify. I used to listen to their old stuff and yeah it is different but that doesn't make it bad. A band typically can't create the same type of music over and over again. You have to mix it up and progress and expand and see what you can do as a band. These guys are pretty famous and everyone in the comment section is probably just sitting behind their phone or computer or whatever the case may be trolling on bands who have put so much effort in the music they create. If you don't like it, listen to something else or their old music. Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that's great. But to sit there and talk trash because they changed up their style is just ridiculous.
