That's why I carry one in my tool sack. So I can't bend the old one and make it work. I will change it on the trail. I did not work my ass off to get to the top and walk it down the hill. Lmao

Also remember to make sure replaceable hanger mount bolt(s) are tight. Loose bolts can also affect shifting

I've had shifting problems for 2 years and could not get my gears lined up. Finally bought this tool and took me 20 min to sort this out. Came of my bike a few times and landed on the rear derailleur. Great tool to have in your bike box. Thanks for the great video.

The last two bikes I have purchased (brand spanking new) came with hanger alignment issues. And with these big ass cassettes we are using these days, alignment is critical. I have the older model DAG-1, and it fits nicely in my travel toolbox.

One clue to a mis-aligned hanger is if there's a nutter standing next to your bike with a large rock in his hand :-)
