I am Dillan, age 15, I imagine everything!!....and write lyrics as they enter my head and create verse after verse! I am the lead vocalist, I hardly ever stop singing!! For the past 2 years I have worked on my voice by singing a wide variety of songs and have developed my own singing style to what I believe is a unique voice. I am inspired by the brilliance of Ne-Yo, Usher, Lionel Richie, Chris Brown and Stevie Wonder.
I am Akz and I am 18. I compose all the music and co-write the songs with Dillan. In the beginning, on a "huge budget", I produced my beats by using software I found in a cereal box!! My desire was to create my own patterns and beats, reflecting my own mood and vibe. So in the last 3 years I've been working hard on creating different types of music and with my own style depending on how I feel when I am creating the sound, rather than on a particular genre. I believe this makes my music personal and unique allowing the listener a connection with me and when performing with "D.Kash".
At the start of 2009 we started working through all the beats and lyrics we had accumulated and at all hours put our songs to complete....and this is where it all started! Together, we practised the music and the vocals repeatedly in our bedroom. We rehearsed to our family, friends and anyone who listened to us perform....and to our delight everyone wanted to hear the songs again and again! We entered a talent show (late entry!) in July 2009, there were over 30 contestants; we sang one of our own songs and won the contest!!
After many months of working hard at home and receiving many positive reviews, we got in contact with two great producers; Suj 'PriestJ' Joshi and Patrick McMahon. Suj and Pat have worked with the likes of Will.I.Am, Rihanna, Arthur Baker, Basement Jaxx, Beverly Knight and their studio clients include R.E.M, The Stereophonics and Babyshambels (and the list goes on). They listened to our music, felt that there was something special and during the summer months 2009 we were in Rollover Studios, West London, recording 4 of our songs, which have been mixed and mastered.. ready for our music release in early 2010!
Our desire is to create music which thrills and is enjoyed by millions around the world and for our music is to be different to any other artist. We are confident that our passion for music will allow us achieve that. We are D.Kash.

I Was Wrong
D.Kash Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I think I lost myself
Being in this world
Has damaged my health
I was once so happy
Now I feel so gone
When you're here I don't feel so wrong
When I was lost
And now I don't want to be found
You held me close
Changed my mind
I couldn't leave this all behind
This world we've created
You by my side
Feeling elevated
Feeling so high
The hard times
I endured for so long
With you I don't feel so wrong
When I was lost
You were down
And now I don't want to be found
You held me close
Changed my mind
I couldn't leave this all behind
The lyrics of D.Kash’s “I Was Wrong” tell the story of a person who has lost their direction in life and feels like they have lost themselves along the way. The singer describes the world as being responsible for the damage to their health and causing them to lose their happiness. However, the person has found someone who has changed their outlook and lifted them up from the despair they were feeling.
The singer sings of feeling lost and disconnected from the world, but when this special someone is around, they feel whole again. The person who has come into their life seems to be the anchor that they needed to feel grounded once more. The lyrics speak of the hard times that the singer has faced, and how they had endured them for so long before finally finding someone who changed their mind about leaving everything behind.
“I Was Wrong” is a song that describes a journey of self-discovery and redemption. The singer has acknowledged that they were wrong in thinking that they could handle everything alone and needed someone to help guide them back to the light. The lyrics paint a picture of someone who has found love and support in the midst of a chaotic world and has come out on the other side stronger and happier.
