Heard this song 6 years ago when it came out and it made me tear up. Six years later my son 7yr old son was diagnosed with Stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. We've been fighting for almost a year and he has never given up once. Refused to shave his head until he was ready, and he ended up shaving my head. Life will never be as it was, but my faith and relationship with my wife and all my kids are stronger than ever. Every day is a fight and a blessing. Dad's fight for your kids and wife. Don't neglect them, don't cop out, and don't make excuses. Be a man. Moms stay strong.

I love that version of the song, Dee's voice is so full of emotion and powerful. But the video never fails to make me cry. It's even worse when you're a dad! My heart goes out to anyone who had to fight that horrible disease or suffer the loss of a close one to it. As another metal legend said: "You've got the power. Stand up and shout." Stay strong.

I found this by accident during an evening of nostalgia. I wanted to share the music of my youth with my daughter. Twisted Sister helped me survive an abusive childhood. The confidence this song inspired stuck with me through my daughters health issues even if the actual song was a distant memory. Nothing hurts worse than watching strangers carry your child away while hoping desperately they can return her in better health. The helplessness is soul crushing. If only we could trade places, if only there was a god who could shift the punishment to me, I earned it, and spare my innocent child... If only, if only... I had to watch this video three times before I could make it to the end. I'm lucky, my child survived and thrived. I agonize with those who weren't so lucky. Thank you Dee Snider and Criss Angel for reminding us lucky ones we are lucky, for giving a voice to those in too much pain to speak. Please, if you can, donate. Time. Money. Sympathy. A hug. Any help is appreciated more than you can imagine.

Hey, it's me again, in the pandemic when both my parents where in ICU and I had no hope crying outside the hospital because they didn't have enough beds they told me there was no room for me... i was thinking I never will see my parents again coz my mom (67) has several complications and my dad (85) was agonizing when i took him to the hospital... I had headaches the next day (sunday) it was raining (no joke)... I came here to write a comment about the virus...
Here it's me again... saying we are not gonna take it... my parents are alive because I had faith. God is inside us all...

This is a GREAT version of the song. My mom and I loved this song 'well the original version anyway". She just passed away at the end of "Sep" and she never got to hear this version but she would have loved it if she did! Hearing we're not going to take it like this really puts a whole new meaning and fell on it since she passed away. It's an incredibly deep powerful spiritual vibe that I get from it now and it was never that way when she was alive.

This is one of those songs that when you find out it exists, it doesn't sound like it's going to be good. And then you find out that not only is it amazing, it's quite possibly better than the original. This is a brilliant reinvention of an 80's metal classic, and for a truly excellent cause.

My name is Daniel danno to my friends I lost my right testicular to an accident only to be told during I had a peace of skin removed from my backside only to be told that I had agressive rectal cancer then lost my other testie then went threw 10 months of kemo and radiation therapy and 11 weeks after that I had a 10 and a half hr surgery which they thought I'd never cum out of considering the the toumur was so close to my vital argans .for me hearing Dee snider sing this song for all of the cancer patients all around the world it sertanly made me she'd a few tears he has a true heart of gold and is one of the most talented musicians God ever put on this planet cos he and his music is a part of my growing up and life .So once again Dee thank u from the bottom of my heart ❤ for singing this song I hope it wakes a few people up just how much of a silent killer this deaseas it really is .gob bless u mister Snider 🙏

Childhood cancer is seriously heinous as with all cancer. My road is just beginning as my momma just got diagnosed with small cell carcinoma lung cancer. She's just 63 years young... the road ahead is one noone is prepared for, no matter how headstrong you are... not ready to watch her get sick... prayers to all and please say one for my momma.. blessings
