The world we live in belongs to us

Collaborating with others is essential to bring about positive change

The weather is changing not much understand
We need to acknowledge that the climate is changing and its implications are not fully understood

But we can fix it up ya
However, we can take steps to improve the situation

Weather getting warm
Global warming is causing an increase in temperature

Every single living thing is drying up
The effects of global warming are having devastating effects on living creatures and the environment as a whole

And how are we suppose to fight back if nobody want in
It is difficult to combat environmental issues when not everyone is aware of or willing to take part in solving them

But not many know about it, so they wouldn't ask when
Many people are unaware of the gravity of environmental issues and therefore do not understand the urgency for change

Yeah, look at the future
We must consider what the future holds if we continue to ignore these issues

Can you see what it look like
We must envision a better future and take the necessary steps to achieve it

It's only getting hotter
The planet is gradually getting warmer due to man-made activities

Everything's drying up no water
The increase in temperature is resulting in water shortages and droughts

Some of the rivers are gone
The effects of global warming have even caused some rivers to dry up completely

When I was all small, Santa Cruz has been dry for so long
Droughts have been a long-standing issue in some parts of the world

Kicking it with the homies when it was monsoon season we got much rainfall
Rainfall patterns are changing and becoming less predictable

The city of Tucson too beautiful for us to let it all die
We must do our part in preserving the beauty of our cities and natural environments

The future is not looking brighter so what can we do
If we do not take action, the future may be bleak

Save all the water we can
We must conserve water as much as possible

Reuse everything
We can recycle and reuse things to reduce waste

Gotta use less on energy
We must reduce our energy consumption to prevent further environmental damage

If you're not using one switch then turn it off
Simple actions like turning off unused lights can help conserve energy

That's a way that we waste we don't know enough
We are often unaware of how much energy we waste

We want better days, just wanna see some better days
We hope for a brighter future where the environment is preserved

Can I maybe stay? I want to see our world be safe in front of my face
We desire to live in a world where environmental issues are taken seriously and addressed

Is it late? can I wait? is it late
We question whether it is too late to make a difference

Are there better days? I want to see them better days in front of my face
We remain hopeful that a brighter future is possible

Can our world be saved? Can we see our world be safe? Or
We must consider if we can bring about true change to save our world

This is our world
We must acknowledge that this world belongs to us and it is our responsibility to take care of it

We know that the desert is hot and our plants can take it huh
We assume that desert plants can withstand high temperatures, but this is not always the case

Well actually it's gotten hotter so most of our plants are just dying up
The increasing temperatures are causing plants to die off

We know that the animals can take the heat cause they're used to it
We assume that animals are adapted to high temperatures, but they too suffer from the effects of global warming

Well actually they can't find water no more so wild life has reduced a bit
Water scarcity is affecting wildlife and causing a decline in their populations

Back in the day every time it was summer
In the past, summer weather was different

It was a warm day with a little breeze under
Summer days were warm but pleasant with a slight breeze

Actually got a whole lotta of flood
In the past, flooding was more common during summer months

We barely see any now, y'all noticed any of that
Flooding is becoming increasingly rare and this is a cause for concern

So getting together communities form
Communities must unite to address environmental issues

Planting the seed for the next to be born
We must start taking action now to ensure a better future for future generations

Your home is your home
We must take care of our homes and our environment

Clean up the mess that we made, or our home will be torn
We must take responsibility for the damage we have caused and work to correct it

Cause I don't wanna see my home getting destroyed
We have a personal investment in preserving our homes and natural environments

We need to make a future first so when can we all join
We must work towards a better future before it is too late for everyone

We can make a change I promise that's if we all start today
Change is possible if we all take action now

Cause time is running out, we won't have any time when it's all too late
If we do not act quickly, there may not be any time left to save the environment

But it starts with us, gotta change it up gotta change the way we live
We must change our lifestyles and consumption habits to prevent further environmental damage

We must speak up to our peers, and tell'em all what this world can give
We must encourage others to take action and work towards a better future

If only we kept home clean
If we had taken care of our environment in the past, we may not be in the current situation

But it's not too late
It is still possible to make a positive change

You see we have some time
There is still some time left to address environmental issues

But we can not wait
We must not delay taking action any longer
