In "How Can I Say," DAY6 singer Jae sings about the struggle between his feelings and what he thinks he should feel. He hates himself for not feeling excited around his partner, and wishes he could just freeze his emotions so that he doesn't have to react. He doesn't want to see love in his partner's eyes because he feels like he can't reciprocate it. Despite this, he can see how happy his partner is when they're together, which makes him feel guilty for not being able to feel the same way. He struggles with how to tell his partner that he doesn't love them anymore, even though he's already checked out emotionally.
One of the most interesting aspects of this song is the musical structure. The opening guitar riff is played in odd time signatures (7/8 and 5/8) which creates a sense of instability and tension that mirrors the lyrics. Additionally, the chorus starts in a minor key, moves to a major key for the beginning of each line, and then resolves back to minor, again reflecting the conflicting emotions the singer is feeling.

A man with a million talents (A HOT TRUMPET) and his smile is brighter than all the stars in the universe combined. He spent a couple of years in Canada so he speaks good English.
- SUNGJIN (rhythm guitar/vocals/leader) aka Bob, DanceMachine and MemeFaceLord. He likes to project a tough man from Busan image but BestDad Sungjin actually loves to make fun of himself and is a huge puppy PLS PROTECT HIM THANKS
- JAE (lead guitar/vocals) aka Chicken Little and Sweg Chicken. He's weird and hella cute and you will love him. His adorable babyface may fool you but he's actually the eldest of the bunch. Jae's better at speaking English than Korean 'cause he spent most of his years in California growing up. Currently an MC for Arirang's After School Club. Also if he wasn't a singer I think he can be an athlete. Like, he's really good at badminton. Watch him play with 2PM's Nichkhun in Cool Kiz on the Block if you wanna see what I mean.
- And last but never the least we have DOWOON (drums) aka Cutest Maknae In The World and Baby Lil Squish. Dowoon's the only one who doesn't sing for now but that's about to change soon because he's taking up vocal lessons.
These boys debuted in 2015 and is JYP's first k-rock band. They write/compose their own songs and they also do these SICK song covers in radio shows (srsly you should check them out right now!!!)
