Hello
DIVISI Lyrics

This echoes more above
Of all the wrecks you're loathe to watch
This paints em all up pretty
Of cold collapse, of comatose
Of sixty years of acclimation
Sewn up, but cut up good
Do you love to run, do you love to run?
This coils up nice and tight around your ankles and screams hello
You saw them riflin' through your shit
Take em out
We couldn't get out fast enough
We made our graves there
The lyrics to DIVISI's song "Hello" describe a sense of resignation towards the negative and destructive aspects of life. The opening lines describe how the things you dislike the most seem to reverberate the loudest, and how even the most terrible things can appear beautiful in a way. The next line talks about how we become accustomed to the struggles and difficulties we face, as if we've grown to accept them as a natural part of existence.
The chorus then takes a more aggressive tone, describing how something has coiled around your ankles, screaming out for attention. The following lines suggest a feeling of being violated or invaded, with references to rifling through one's possessions. Despite the violation, there seems to be a sense of inevitability to the events taking place, with the final lines describing how "we made our graves there." It's a somber and haunting image, suggesting that perhaps we are all doomed to the same fate, and that fighting against it is pointless.
Overall, the lyrics of "Hello" are steeped in a sense of melancholy and despair, yet there's also a strange beauty in the language and imagery used. It's a song that encourages reflection on the darker sides of life, and how we come to terms with them in our own ways.
