The story will be enjoyable and amusing for the listener

The moral to be learned from this story to be told

Shiny or impressive things are not always as valuable or worthwhile as they appear

On July 11th I was sittin at home
The artist is sharing a personal story that took place on a specific date

Talkin to my girlfriend Geena on the telephone
The artist was having a conversation with their significant other

Flippin through the newspaper checkin the news
The artist was reading a newspaper to catch up on current events

When I saw an advertisement for a Carribean cruise
The artist came across an ad for a vacation in the Caribbean

It said, 'Sunny skies and romantic nights
The advertisement promised a beautiful and romantic vacation

On an incredible ship' - and I got hype
The artist became excited at the prospect of a luxurious and enjoyable vacation

The brochure said that the boat was large
The brochure boasted about the size of the ship

But it was nothin but a broken-down barnacle barge!
The ship was actually in poor condition and not as advertised

And if it wasn't for my girlfriend, I wouldn'ta went
The artist was hesitant about going on the vacation but was encouraged by their partner

The cruise was paid for and the food was free
Despite the issues with the ship, the artist still went on the cruise because it was already paid for

So I said what the hell and set out to sea
The artist decided to go on the cruise despite their reservations and concerns

It didn't take long to notice something was wrong
The artist quickly realized that the vacation was not going to be what they expected

The ship was a mess and we were the only ones on it
The ship was not in good condition and there were very few passengers

I didn't wanna panic, so I chilled for a while
The artist tried to remain calm and composed in the face of disappointment

Till the captain pulled up to what we thought was a deserted isle
The ship arrived at an island that appeared to be uninhabited

We looked on to the beach and almost went bezerk
The artist and their partner were shocked and frightened by what they saw on the island

The said, ';Hung-a-dung-a-digi-dung-da-doa';
The islanders spoke in a language that the artist did not understand

I said, ';Hey baby, I guess that means get off the boat';
The artist joked with their partner about the islanders' language and their desire to leave the island

Their chief said they needed a human sacrifice
The islanders demanded a sacrifice of a person

I said, ';Well, just take my girl - he-he - syke';
The artist made a joking remark about sacrificing their partner to the islanders

I was jokin, but things got serious
The situation quickly turned from amusing to dangerous

Their leader came out and he was curious
The island's leader became interested in the artist and their partner

He got in my face and his breath was the worst
The island's leader had bad breath and was unpleasant to be near

I said, ';Hey baby, you got some mints in your purse?';
The artist joked with their partner about the island leader's bad breath

His breath was stinkin with filthy brown teeth
The island leader's teeth were dirty and smelly

And two big crusty ashy hairy feet
The island leader had unclean, hairy feet

The worst thing, he had no toenail on his toes
The artist found the island leader's toenail-less toes to be particularly upsetting

And a big Teradactyl bird bone in his nose
The island leader had a large bird bone in his nostril

I tried to reason with him, he wasn't with it
The artist attempted to negotiate with the island leader but was unsuccessful

He said, ';Tenga-shanko,'; that meant 'forget it'
The island leader dismissed the artist's attempts to reason with him

He said, ';Gunga-shang-tang-da-bong-da-boo';
The island leader made a joke-like comment in his language

That meant 'tonight we're having Fresh Prince stew'
The island leader joked that the artist and their partner would be sacrificed and cooked as a meal

Then I saw it - no, it's not
The artist noticed something that surprised them

The big Indiana Jones people cooking pot!
The artist saw a large pot that was intended for cooking humans

I wanted to fight em, but there was no way to beat em
The artist felt powerless to stop the islanders and their intentions

I thought to myself, 'Where's Tarzan when you need him?'
The artist wished for a hero like Tarzan who could save them

Just as they were contemplatin cookin us up
The islanders were about to sacrifice and cook the artist and their partner

We had a major struck of luck, a Navy ship pulled up
A Navy ship arrived and rescued the artist and their partner

The troops came off and they got us out of the pot
The Navy officers saved the artist and their partner from being cooked in the pot

And I said to the chief, ';Yo, I get witcha, hops!';
The artist jokingly told the island leader that they understood why he wanted to cook and eat them

The guy that rescued us said, ';I hate to tell you
One of the Navy officers gave the artist and their partner some bad news

The captain of your ship, he had just escaped from Belview
The captain of the ship was a mental patient who had escaped from a psychiatric hospital

We've been following him and finally we got him
The Navy had been searching for the escaped captain and finally apprehended him

We're sorry, there's no way that you can possibly get a refund';
The Navy officer informed the artist and their partner that they could not get their money back for the ruined vacation

A thousand dollars and a weekend island drained
The artist and their partner spent a lot of money on a disappointing vacation

But a lesson well learned, so let me explain
The artist believes that they learned a valuable lesson from the experience

There's a very important message that needs to be told
The artist wants to share an important lesson with their listeners

It's that everything that glitters ain't always gold
