He is currently resident DJ at the Parisian restaurant and club by the same name, and plays his style of downtempo world music and house-influenced jazz fusion to a worldwide audience both live on his travels and on his multiple compilation releases that have won him great recognition.
Born on July 11th, 1966 on Mauritius island, he immigrated to France as a teenager and began what was to be a life-long career in music. He became resident DJ at the The Rex club in Paris, and won the attention of influential figures such as Laurent Meyer (of 'Le Boy'), who helped him further his career by setting him up with a gig at one of the then hugely popular and infamous Wiz Bombino parties. It was here that he met Claude Challe, lounge/world music guru and owner of Les Bains Douches, one of the most influential Parisian night spots in the 80's. Together, they collaborated on records such as Loverdose, The Flying Carpet and Nirvana Lounge before taking up residence in the restaurant and nightclub called 'Buddha Bar' in 1997. In no small part due to his Indian roots, Ravin immediately felt at home in this cosmopolitan yet decidedly Eastern-flavored establishment. Four years of DJing and learning from his mentor Challe, Ravin was ready to make his own mark in the world of lounge music. Given the task of following up Challe's hugely successful first and second installments of Buddha Bar, Ravin acquitted himself brilliantly with a 3rd volume that did the series more than enough justice and established himself as equal to Challe in finding and compiling the best of world fusion and lounge music. Indeed, the 3rd Buddha Bar is held to be the best of all by many fans of the genre.
After handing the reins of Buddha Bar IV and V over to the youthful hands of David Visan, son of Buddha Bar club owner Raymond Visan, Ravin resumed command of the series. The sixth installment, and second by him, was released in 2003. In the same year, Ravin found the time to assemble two additional world music compilations, both 2CD sets, which he to called 'Siddharta the Spirit of Buddha Bar' volume one and two. Buddha Bar VII, a collaboration with David Visan followed in 2005, and Ravin is behind the newest installment of the series, Buddha Bar IX, which was released April 17th, 2007.

I Feel It
DJ Ravin Lyrics
Light of the world
Let me show you what it feels like
To be me
To be free
Times gone
And past has conclusions
My life like yours
An illusion
Of things the way
We only see
If there's a chance I can make it
You bet your ass I'm a take it
Out there's a life waiting just for me
I show you what its like to be free
I'll tell you what its like to be me
I'll show you what its like to be me (free)
It feels good yeah!
What it feels like
What it feels like
What it feels like
What it feels like
Some say that life's what you make it
Sometime there's a hand you should take it
And where it leads there you will be
Come now life is really a dream
Let go you'll see what I mean
Out there's a reason to believe
Believe
I'll show you what its like to be me
I'll show you what its like to be free
I'll tell you what its like to be me
It feels good yeah!
What it feels like
What it feels like
What it feels like
What it feels like
Light of the world
Come and set my spirit free
Take me beyond the limits
And let me find release
Well I'm gonna find
Oh that peace of mind
Reason why
I'm alive
To be free
Oh, what it feels like
What it feels like
Let me show you what it feels like
To be me
To be free
Times gone
And past has conclusions
My life like yours
An illusion
Of things the way
If there's a chance I can make it

Give me freedom, give me fire
Give me reason, take me higher
See the champions take the field now
You define us, make us feel proud
In the streets our heads are liftin'
As we lose our inhibition
Celebration, it surrounds us
Every nation, all around us
Staying forever young
Singing songs underneath the sun
Let's rejoice in the beautiful game
And together at the end of the day, we all say
When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom just like a wavin' flag
When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom just like a wavin' flag
So wave your flag, now wave your flag
Now wave your flag, now wave your flag
Now wave your flag, now wave your flag
Now wave your flag, oh-oh-oh
Give you freedom, give you fire
Give you reason, take you higher
See the champions take the field now
You define us, make us feel proud
In the streets our heads are liftin'
As we lose our inhibition
Celebration, it surrounds us
Every nation, all around us
Staying forever young
Singing songs underneath the sun
Let's rejoice in the beautiful game

When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom just like a wavin' flag
So wave your flag, now wave your flag
Now wave your flag, now wave your flag
Now wave your flag, now wave your flag
Wave your flag, oh-oh-oh
(We all say)
When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom just like a wavin' flag
When I get older I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom just like a wavin' flag
So wave your flag, now wave your flag
Now wave your flag, now wave your flag
Now wave your flag, now wave your flag
Wave your flag, oh-oh-oh
And everybody will be singing it
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
And we all will be singing it

We all say,
When I get older
I will be stronger
They'll call me 'Freedom'
Just like a wavin' flag
And then it goes back, and then it goes back
And then it goes back, and then it goes...
Born to a throne, stronger than Rome
But violent-prone, poor people zone,
But it's my home, all I have known,
Where I got grown, streets we would roam
Out of the darkness, I came the farthest
Among the hardest survival
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Accept no defeat, surrender retreat
So we strugglin'
Fightin' to eat
And we wonderin'
When we'll be free
So we patiently wait
For that fateful day
It's not far away,
But for now we say:
So many wars, settlin' scores,
Bringing us promises, leaving us poor,
I heard them say, love is the way
Love is the answer, that's what they say
But look how they treat us, make us believers
We fight their battles, then they deceive us
Try to control us, they couldn't hold us
'Cause we just move forward like Buffalo soldiers
