(Around the world, around the world)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Daft Punk's "Around The World" are a repetitive chant of the title phrase, "Around the world, around the world," accompanied by a funky bassline and pulsating beat. The simplicity of the lyrics is intentional, as it reinforces the theme of the song, which is the repetition and cyclical nature of life. The song is a celebration of dance and movement, urging the listener to join in the fun and take a journey around the world through the power of music.

While there are no further lyrics to the song, the repetition is filled with energy, and the driving beat and electronic soundscape create a hypnotic loop that is both infectious and captivating. It's a pure dance track that continues to inspire remixes and sampling by other artists, making it a timeless classic in the world of electronic music.

What people forget is Daft Punk had many critics in the early 2000’s. Critics who thought they were washed up and their best days were behind them.

Then Alive 2007 happened.

Daft Punk showed they not only had that original flame of brilliance, but they could remix it into a damn God-Ray.

In the following years they would collaborate or be featured in worldwide hit songs constantly. Their influence in music grew ten-fold.

Then as if the critics weren’t BTFO hard enough, RAM was released, earning the Grammy for best album.

Not just best Dance/Electronic album.... best fucking Album.

Lol

I dunno, look up the We Plants Are Happy Plants mix. They did Alive 2014, and every bit of it was amazing.

Despite Daft Punk retiring, its a relief to know its not because they passed away or anything bad, something that seems to be rare these days with how flipped the world is right now.

@scraps4338

They split up for one simple reason they weren’t that interested in making music anymore but they might come back who knows maybe for β€œone more time” for tron 3
