How?
Dajla Lyrics

How long must we wait in this ocean of despair
I see the future is gray so cold and so unfair
It is silent it is deep but it is here to stay
We'll be heroes of a new day
It is moral obligation we refuse to be their pray
We'll be heroes of a new day
How long must we wait, how long?
Everyday pray the Lord, how long?
How long must we wait, how long?
Everyday pray the Lord, how long?
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
I am angry because there were lies all the way
Lies!
I am angry because
It's history repeating like Shirley Bassey said
I am angry because we can,
We can make a better day
If we really want to, if we really care
It is silent it is deep but it is here to stay
We'll be heroes of a new day
How long must we wait, how long?
How long?
Everyday pray the Lord, how long?
How long?
How long must we wait, how long?
How long?
Everyday pray the Lord, how long?
Moral obligation it's a moral obligation now
Moral obligation
Oh oh oh
Moral obligation, it's a moral obligation now
Moral obligation
Oh oh oh
How long we'll be waiting?
How long we'll be waiting for?
Every day we pray Him
Every day we pray the Lord
How long we'll be waiting?
How long we'll be waiting for?
Every day we pray Him
Every day we pray the Lord
Every day we pray the Lord
Every day we pray the Lord
Every day we pray the Lord
Every day we pray the Lord

The lyrics to Dajla's song "How?" speak to the frustration and anger felt by the singer towards the current state of affairs. The opening lines suggest a feeling of hopelessness and despair, as the future appears bleak and unfair. The reference to an "ocean of despair" emphasizes the overwhelming nature of the challenges faced. However, amidst this darkness, the singer asserts their refusal to become victims, proclaiming themselves as "heroes of a new day." This suggests a desire for change and a belief in the power of individuals to make a difference.
The repetition of the question "How long must we wait?" reflects a sense of impatience and frustration with the lack of progress. The mention of praying to the Lord indicates a plea for guidance and help in overcoming these challenges. The singer expresses their anger towards the lies that have been perpetuated, highlighting a sense of betrayal. The mention of history repeating itself alludes to a cycle of injustice and the need to break free from it.
The lyrics also emphasize the moral obligation to create a better future. The repetitive chant of "moral obligation" underscores the belief that it is the responsibility of all individuals to take action and work towards positive change. The song ends with a call to continue praying to the Lord and a recognition of the daily effort required to bring about transformation.
