E mais dez mil a tua direita
Você nem se quer vai abalar
A tua calma e esperteza
A tua coragem beirando a frieza
São tão notáveis que me fazem desconfiar
Mas por trás de tantas facetas
Que te consome e que te faz ruir
Você recorre a estimulantes
Alucinógenos, tranquilizantes
Pra tentar dormir
Você usa psicotrópicos
Mil tarja pretas e narcóticos
Pra tentar fugir
Da realidade
E trocando as pernas você sai por aí a sorrir
Em um mundo à parte onde você é feliz
É feliz
Trocando as pernas você sai por aí sem mentir
Sem máscaras, sem nada, de cara lavada
Você recorre a estimulantes
Alucinógenos, tranquilizantes
Pra tentar dormir
Você usa psicotrópicos
Mil tarja pretas e narcóticos
Pra tentar fugir
Da realidade
In the song "91" by Dani Carmesim, the lyrics depict someone who appears strong and unflappable in the face of adversity. The opening lines speak of a person who remains calm and composed even when surrounded by challenges and difficulties, suggesting a remarkable inner strength and resilience. This individual's courage borders on coldness, leading the listener to question the depth of their emotional state. Despite outward appearances, there is a hint of a hidden sadness within them, a profound melancholy that eats away at their core and threatens to bring them down.
As the lyrics progress, it becomes clear that the person portrayed in the song turns to substances like stimulants, hallucinogens, tranquilizers, and psychotropic drugs to cope with their inner turmoil. These substances serve as a means of escape from their pain and reality, allowing them to numb their emotions and attempt to find solace in a chemically induced state of numbness. The imagery of relying on a multitude of prescription drugs, including black market narcotics, paints a picture of desperate attempts to evade facing their inner demons.
Despite the facade of strength and composure, the singer ultimately reveals a vulnerability and a deep-seated pain that drives them to seek solace in artificial means. The juxtaposition of their external appearance of happiness and ease with the internal struggle and reliance on substances creates a poignant contrast, showcasing the complexity of human emotions and the masks we wear to hide our true selves. The repeated refrain of resorting to drugs to find temporary relief from reality underscores the desperation and fragility of the individual's mental state.
The final verses of the song suggest a sense of escapism and a desire to find a semblance of happiness and authenticity, even if it means donning a mask of false cheer and venturing into a separate world where they can be "happy." The act of smiling and pretending in a world of make-believe hints at a longing for genuine connection and freedom from the burden of emotional pain and dependence on substances. The repetition of seeking refuge in drugs to escape reality serves as a stark reminder of the destructive cycle of self-medication and the struggle to break free from the chains of addiction and despair.
