Dannii first broke out of her sister's shadow in 1997 with the album Girl. Whilst Kylie Minogue was experimenting with dark lyrics, indie collaborations and moody images (Impossible Princess), Dannii went out and out for the dancefloor with the huge hit All I Wanna Do. Unfortunately, the album that it was from only reached No. 57. However, Dannii herself has said, "This was a big turning point for me. It has led me on to the album Neon Nights and my collaborations with many club DJs and remixers".
2001 was a success for Dannii, when her vocals were part of Riva's Who Do You Love Now?, which laid the foundations for her fourth album Neon Nights released in March 2003.
Moving to London Records, Dannii made more credible dance tracks including I Begin To Wonder and Put The Needle On It. In 2003, Dannii released her fourth album, Neon Nights. It was a surprise chart success, reaching no.8 in the UK charts and eventually achieving gold status, selling over 100,000 copies. The album also made gold certification in Australia. Dannii also teamed up with chill-out Ibiza stars Afterlife for a collaboration on their Speck of Gold album. Dannii's star was beginning to shine in its own right.
In 2004, after a top 10 album and four top 10 singles, Dannii moved to All Around The World Records. Her first single for AATW was You Won't Forget About Me, which saw Dannii's vocals layered on top of the instrumental hit Flower Power and landed at no.7 in the UK charts, making it Dannii's fifth consecutive top 10 hit. You Won't Forget About Me was followed up in 2005 by Perfection, on which Dannii teamed up with the Soul Seekerz, which narrowly missed out on the top 10 in the UK, peaking at no.11. In 2006, she returned with So Under Pressure and her Greatest Hits album The Hits & Beyond.
Dannii has been a judge on British television channel ITV's The X Factor since 2007 alongside Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh.
In November 2007, Girl and Neon Nights were re-released with bonus discs, with a new studio album Club Disco and compilation album Unleashed appearing within the following weeks. A stand alone single Touch Me Like That was released in December 2007. It was later included on the re-release of Club Disco released in Australia in the spring 2008.
Later in 2008, the logical and long-overdue duet with her own sister finally was released as Kylie & Dannii recorded a cover of ABBA's The Winner Takes It All appeared on the soundtrack album to the shortlived BBC show Beautiful People.

You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
Are you dreaming, I can see it in your eyes
Something tells me, you're about to say goodbye
And I wonder, are you tired of my touch
Once you held me now it doesn't mean as much
You don't love me like you used to love me baby
Before you go, throw it all away, take some advice
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
Good love is hard to find, I ain't lying
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
'Cause if you lose my love you'll be crying
If you go look before you leap, here's a reason
Love don't grow on trees, just remember
When I'm slipping through your hands it won't be easy
To bring me back again
In a world filled with every known temptation
You can pay the price, hey hey hey
Before you go, throw it all away, take some advice
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
Good love is hard to find, I ain't lying
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
'Cause if you lose my love you'll be crying
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
Good love is hard to find, I ain't lying
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
'Cause if you lose my love you'll be crying
Oh just think about it
Ooh you better be careful
Oh just think about it
Ooh yeah aw, you better be careful
Hey yeah whoo ooh oh
You better be
Doo doo doo doo doo yeah
Doo doo doo doo doo yeah
Doo doo doo doo doo yeah
Doo doo doo doo doo
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
Good love is hard to find, I ain't lying
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
'Cause if you lose my love you'll be crying
Oh boy you better look before you leap
Look before you leap
Doo doo doo doo doo yeah
Oh yeah
Doo doo doo doo doo yeah
Doo doo doo doo doo yeah
Doo doo doo doo doo yeah
Oh yeah
You better be, better be, better be, better be careful
Oh oh
You better be nice, you better think twice, you better be careful
'Cause if you lose my love
You better be, better be, better be, better be careful
Oh oh
If you lose my love
If you lose my love
If you lose my love
Hey oh
The lyrics to Dannii Minogueβs song βBe Carefulβ is a warning to a lover who is considering leaving. The singer is asking their lover to be nice, to think twice, and to be careful before making a decision they might regret. The singer notices that their lover is dreamy and distant, and thinks that they might be on the brink of breaking up with them. The singer pleads with their lover to think about their love and not to take it for granted because good love is hard to find. The singer urges their lover to look before they leap and choose carefully, as love doesn't grow on trees. The songβs overall message is to be careful and not throw away good love.

Keith, Shane, Mikey are not talentless - they might not be the strongest singers but they can still carry a tune and their voices complement Ronan and Steo's. Good to hear their voices taking the lead in some songs here. Long live the 90s!!!
