1) A mononym of Ilkka Lipsanen (b. 24 Sept 1942, Pori, Finland) is a Finnish singer and guitarist. He started his career with the band Islanders who released a couple of singles, among them Danny's first recording which was in English: East Virginia by Joan Baez in 1964. During his national service Danny switched to his native Finnish and recorded two hits, "Kauan" ("Downtown" by Petula Clark) and "Piilopaikka" ("You've Got Your Troubles"). After the army in 1966 Danny launched his own management company D-Tuotanto and started his hugely popular and spectacular "Danny-Shows" which toured around Finland every summer all the way to the late 1970s, with a different theme every year and an entourage of other well-known singers and entertainers. During the 1960s Danny recorded a number of hits, among them "KesΓ€katu" (Loving Spoonful's "Summer In The City"), "VΓ€hΓ€n ennen kyyneleitΓ€" ("El angel de la guarda"), "Tuuliviiri", "Rebecca" and "Se eikΓΆ todista ettΓ€ muutuin" ("If I Promise").
Some of the best known hits for Danny in the 1970s were "Vai niin, vai niin" ("How Do You Do"), "MaantieltΓ€ taloon" ("Son of My Father" by Chicory Tip) and "Kuusamo" ("L'ete Indien - Africa" by Joe Dassin). In 1977 Danny joined together with former Miss Finland, Armi Aavikko, with whom he had the extremely popular hits "Tahdon olla sulle hellΓ€" and "Kaiken sulle antaisin".
A song by Jukka KuoppamΓ€ki, "TΓ€mΓ€ taivas, tΓ€mΓ€ maa", was a big hit for Danny in 1992. In 1997 performed in China and in 1988 in Turkey. These days Danny is considered an elder statesman in Finnish popular music, still active in music business and touring.
Danny achieved some notoriety outside Finland in 2006 when the 1978 music video duet with the late Armi Aavikko, "Tahdon olla sulle hellΓ€", sung in English as "I Wanna Love You Tender" became an internet meme. The choreography of this video was particularly noteworthy. While it was apparently intended to be "erotic and tantalizing", in the eyes of many it principally succeeded in being hilarious.
Albums: Se olla voi toisinkin pΓ€in (1966, Scandia), Danny (1968, Scandia), D (1971, Scandia), KÀÀrme (1972, Scandia), MentΓ€vΓ€ on (1973, Scandia), Danny in Beat (1974, Scandia), ElΓ€mΓ€n maku (1976, Scandia), Tahdon olla sulle hellΓ€ (1977, Scandia), Danny & Armi (1978, Scandia), Danny & Armi β Toinen LP (1979, Scandia), Ninja (1986, M&T Production), ElΓ€mΓ€n sΓ€vel (1988, GoldDisc), TΓ€mΓ€ taivas, tΓ€mΓ€ maa (1992, Finnlevy), VielΓ€ sΓ€ syleilet mua (1995, Finnlevy), Valoa & energiaa (1996, Finnlevy), Taikaa (1997, Finnlevy), Nainen (2002, Edel) and Tunteiden Danny (2010).
2) A mononym of Swedish pop singer Danny Saucedo (b. Daniel Gabriel Alessandro Saucedo Grzechowski, 25 February 1986, in Stockholm, Stockholms LΓ€n, Sweden).
Saucedo embarked on his journey in Idol 2006 by auditioning with the song "I Swear" by the vocal quartet All-4-One. He was praised by the jury for his touching and convincing voice. Saucedo joined his fellow contestant Felicia BrandstrΓΆm in a duet, singing Bryan Adams' "Everything I Do", which, according to the jury, was the best performance until then in the Idol contest. The jury was unanimous in its opinion that if both were to continue at the level of that performance, they would easily end up in the Idol final. The jury's comments were harsh after Danny's performance of Nick Lachey's single "What's Left of Me" in the semi-final, however, as they claimed his voice did not suit this song. In the top 11 final, Danny sang The Jacksons' "Blame It on the Boogie" while doing some Jackson moves. In the top 10 final, Danny stormed the stage and even made a jury member Kishti Tomita weep in tears, while he sang the ballad "Γppna din dΓΆrr" by Swedish singer Tommy Nilsson.
In 2006, after the end of the Idol season, he released his first single, a cover of "Γppna din dΓΆrr". The debut single charted at #24 on the Swedish Singles Chart. Danny formed the trio E.M.D. with the previous Idol contestants Erik Segerstedt and Mattias AndrΓ©asson, at the same time putting his solo output as well.
Danny was one of the participants in the television show Let's Dance 2008 (Swedish version of Dancing with the Stars). In September 2008, Danny along with professional dancer Jeanette Carlsson took part in the Eurovision Dance Contest 2008. The couple placed 12th in the final on 6th September in Glasgow.
Danny participated in Melodifestivalen 2011 as a solo artist, singing the song "In the Club". He won the first semi-final and qualified for the final, which was held on 12th March in Stockholm. He placed second (placing also second in the rankings of both the international juries and televoters), behind Eric Saade's song "Popular". Danny received a total of 149 points, whereas Saade received 193 points.
Danny has released 3 albums: "Heart.Beats", "Set Your Body Free" (which includes the single "Radio", which stayed at the top of the Swedish chart for 2 weeks) and "In the Club" (which includes his Melodifestivalen 2011 entry, "In the Club").

Kaya
The song "Kaya" by Danny is a reflective and introspective piece that delves into the artist's thoughts and fears about the future. The lyrics are sung in the Zambian language, Bemba, though they begin with a mix of Bemba and English phrases. In the opening lines, Danny sings, "Efyo twachita efingi / Efyo tatwachita efinono," which means "what we do is many / what we don't do is none." He goes on to talk about the weight of responsibility and the fear of the unknown, wondering if he will succeed or fail in the future. He mentions specific people in his life, including Gwen and Peggy, and speaks of his own mortality, saying, "Ndofwa umwenso i tell you / Chilampela umwenso." The repeated mention of 'kaya' in the song title and lyrics seems to suggest a desire for security or a sense of belonging that can be found in the future.
The lyrics of "Kaya" offer a refreshing perspective in the contemporary music scene by addressing universal fears and struggles with a sense of honesty and vulnerability. While the lyrics are predominantly in Bemba, the repeated use of the word 'kaya' helps to create a sense of unity and resonance with people from all walks of life. The song touches upon themes of hope, fear, and the unknown, which are emotions that are familiar to many. A poignant section of the song reads "Fwe bambi tatwishiba nga tukanyantapo nolukasa owe. / Tatwishibe tatwishibe ni kaya kaya," which translates to "We really don't know what the future holds. / Kaya, kaya is what we have." It suggests a desire to hold onto faith and hope in the midst of uncertainty.
