I'm crossing you in style some day
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're going, I'm going your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbow's end, waiting, round the bend
Moon river, wider than a mile
I'm crossing you in style some day
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're going, I'm going your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after that same rainbow's end, waiting, round the bend
My Huckleberry Friend, Moon River, and me
Danny Wright's version of "Moon River" is an emotional and serene rendition of the classic song originally composed by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer. The lyrics are a tribute to the wanderlust of the human spirit, to the longing to see new places and to the joy of friendship. The song describes two drifters who set out to see the world, in search of the same elusive treasure: the end of the rainbow. The singer is accompanied by his "Huckleberry Friend," a term that implies a close and trustworthy friendship. The two travelers are bound together on their journey, united by their love for adventure and their desire to follow their dreams.
