In 2000, Darling Violetta released The Kill You EP, and in 2003, the album Parlour.
In 2005, the band composed an extended version of the Angel theme called "The Sanctuary Extended Remix", featured on the soundtrack of the series Live Fast - Die Never.
The style of the band is recognizable for the voice of singer Cami Elen (compared by some critics to that of PJ Harvey), the use of cello and violin, specially in their early compositions, and lyrics charged with sexual innuendos, dark metaphors and goth references.
Darling Violetta also wrote and produced a song for Activision for their game, "Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption", titled "I Want to Kill You". The meaning of the song has been debated since its release, but most people tend to agree the song is about a ghoul missing her vampiric master. They also wrote another song for the Masquerade Universe which was in "Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines" entitled "Smaller God".
Darling Violetta have their own website at http://www.darlingvioletta.com and are currently working on their Fourth Album along with a DVD.
Candy Jones
Darling Violetta Lyrics

Come put out this little fire
Light another cigarette and
Sing like the angel that you are
You'll need eight martinis
For your second personality
I'm Candy Jones
Code name Project Pandora
I'll be your super sexy spy
You'll be my double agent
And I'll put you in a trance so deep
You will have no memory
Once your mission's been complete
I'm Candy Jones
Let's play mind control (again)
Now you're my secret plaything
Captured unknowingly
My night vision operator
I hold the post-hypnotic key
You are the isolator
Three times the detonator for me
I'm Candy Jones
Let's play mind control (again)
I'm Candy Jones
Let's play mind control (again)
Don't you naughty boys know how to speak French?
The lyrics to Darling Violetta's song Candy Jones are cryptic and require interpretation to fully understand their meaning. The song appears to be about a woman named Candy Jones who is a spy and uses mind control to carry out her missions. The lyrics mention a code name (Project Pandora), a double agent, and an isolator - all common terms found in the espionage world. Candy is also portrayed as someone who is seductive and dangerous, using her charm to manipulate those around her. The line "you'll need eight martinis for your second personality" suggests that she sedates her targets to control their minds more easily. The song ends with the line "Don't you naughty boys know how to speak French?" which adds to the mysterious and seductive tone of the song. Overall, the lyrics seem to be exploring themes of power, control, and seduction in the world of espionage.
