Seven Cities
Dave Pearce Lyrics

It's alright
Ooh
As shadows follow light
so the world becomes a stage
Day slips into night
& the music never fades
as the city fades away
The summer fills the sky
then you turn to me & say
It's alright
You touch me in the night
as the city fades away
The summer fills the sky
and you turn to me & say
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
Then you turn to me & say it's alright
Then you turn to me & say it's alright
Then you turn to me & say it's alright
Then you turn to me & say it's alright
It's alright
It's alright
The lyrics to Dave Pearce's song Seven Cities seem to evoke a feeling of comfort and security amidst chaos and change. The references to shadows and the world being a stage give the impression of constantly shifting circumstances, but the singer finds solace in the consistency of the music and the touch of their lover. The mention of the summer sky adds to this feeling of fleeting yet beautiful moments, and the phrase "it's alright" serves as a reassurance that no matter what happens, everything will ultimately be okay.
The repetition of "it's alright" in the chorus reinforces this idea of finding peace and stability in uncertain times, and the use of second-person pronouns ("you turn to me & say it's alright") gives the sense that this comfort is being shared between two people. Overall, the lyrics of Seven Cities offer a message of hope and resilience that is particularly relevant during times of change and uncertainty.
